Overview Itinerary
The Ship
Take a voyage with Cunard Line and you’ll discover a world where top-class service, luxurious surroundings, and awe-inspiring facilities are synonymous with its reputation, proudly built up over its 175 year history. A place where all your senses are satisfied in glorious style - whether it’s top to toe pampering in the spa and experiencing new destinations ashore by day, or savouring gourmet cuisine and the best entertainment at sea each evening. Queen Elizabeth is the newest addition to the Cunard fleet and the third ship to bear the name. She was launched by her namesake, Her Majesty The Queen, in late 2010. Sporting the same black and white livery of her predecessors, on board she combines Cunard’s elegant styling of wooden balustrades, marble floors and sumptuous furnishings, with all the contemporary and innovative touches of the modern era. Amongst her impressive features are a three deck high Grand Lobby, complete with its 18-foot tall David Linley marquetry panel of the original Queen Elizabeth, a Cunardia museum charting the cruise line’s history, and an onboard library with over 6000 books. Queen Elizabeth starts the year with her three month Round the World voyage, taking in exotic destinations such as the Far East, India and Africa. Southampton is her home port year-round, with her voyages ranging from short break cruises to 7 to 17 night cruises around the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Canary Islands.

Food
The Britannia Restaurant is the main dining venue for guests on Queen Elizabeth, famous for its gourmet cuisine and high levels of service. The restaurant offers a choice of traditional style dining, with either an early or late sitting, along with the option of flexible any-time dining. Guests staying in the Queen Grill level staterooms enjoy their own reserved table in the Queen Grill each evening; while Princess Grill stateroom guests can opt for any time dining in the Princess Grill from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. The Lido offers casual buffet style dining throughout the daytime, and in the evening partly transforms into one of three select dining venues - there’s Mexican cuisine in Aztec, Asian inspired fare in Jasmine, or South American grilled dishes in Asada. The Verandah restaurant presents an acclaimed sampler menu and a host of French style culinary treats.

Drink
From your morning cappuccino and afternoon tea to champagne and cocktails in the evening, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to bars and lounges onboard Queen Elizabeth. The Queen's Room harks back to a bygone era, with its traditional afternoon tea of cucumber sandwiches, scones and freshly brewed tea, served by white gloved waiters; to the setting for elegant balls and dancing in the evening. The Garden Lounge is inspired by Kew Gardens and the perfect spot to chill with an al fresco coffee and a book. The Grand Lobby is home to Cafe Corinthia and its selection of refreshing teas, freshly brewed coffees and tempting sweet treats. The Commodore Club overlooks the bow of the ship and the perfect spot to sit back and admire the view whilst sipping a cocktail. Overlooking the Grand Lobby, the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar is luxury personified; offering up a menu of seven Veuve Clicquot champagnes in stylish surroundings. By contrast, The Golden Lion is an authentic British pub combining a traditional pub lunch menu and ice cold beers and ciders with a convivial atmosphere. Whatever your tastes, Queen Elizabeth is sure to amaze you time and time again.

Entertainment
The evening entertainment on Queen Elizabeth brings your day to close in style whatever your taste. The three-deck high Royal Court Theatre hosts an entertaining blend of production shows, musical extravaganzas and film shows. The Garden Lounge offers live music and occasional Supper Clubs under the stars. The Commodore Club presents piano music and singers to entertain each evening, along with stunning sunsets as a backdrop. The Golden Lion brings together Karaoke, pub quizzes and big screen sporting events in a casual setting. The Yacht Club features a unique compass-style dance floor for onboard revellers looking to party into the small hours.
Day 1-2: Fly UK to Vancouver, Canada
Fly from your chosen UK airport to Vancouver and enjoy a coach transfer to your overnight Hotel. Then transfer the next day to the port and Board Cunard Queen Elizabeth and set sail for Juneau.
Day 3: Cruising in Inside Passage
The Inside Passage winds its way through the network of islands on North America's Pacific Coast. Heading from northern Vancouver Island to Skagway, you encounter a magnificent collection of fjords, glaciers and temperate rainforests. From Misty Fjords National Monument to Glacier Bay National Park, cruising these waters lets you see some of the state's iconic wildlife — such as orcas, sea lions, bald eagles, and humpback whales. With a selection of historic ports to visit along the way, Alaska's Inside Passage is one of the most iconic cruising routes in the world.
Day 4: Cruising in Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, USA
Day 5: Skagway, USA
Skagway, commonly known as 'The Gateway to the Klondike' was born out of the Kondike Gold rush of the 1890s. Once home to saloons, dance halls and gambling houses, Skagway now has only about 1,000 residents. Relive the town's 'heyday' with an interesting downtown walking tour and gold panning excursion. Visit Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park to see thousands of historic photos and archaeological artefacts. For the little more adventurous, take a ride on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad past glistening glaciers and picturesque waterfalls.
Day 6: Cruise by Hubbard Glacier
Hubbard Glacier is the largest and most active tidewater glacier in North America. Spanning 76 miles and 1,200 feet in depth in pristine Disenchantment Bay, the glacier dwarfs the cruise ships that pass it and regularly calves mini glaciers the size of ten-storey buildings! The surrounding area is a haven for wildlife — from whales, otters and harbour seals in the water to moose, brown bears, and black-tailed deer on the shoreline.
Day 7: Icy Strait Point, USA
Icy Strait Point is located on Chichagof Island just outside the small village of Hoonah. This privately-owned resort is named after the nearby Icy Strait. Step ashore to experience authentic regional culture, incredible natural beauty and indigenous wildlife, Tlingit art and dancing, and to taste fresh Dungeness crab. Take a cruise from Icy Strait Point to get an up close view of the dramatic scenery, humpback whales and brown bears. Ride the bus to the top of Hoonah Mountain for far-reaching views, before descending on the world's largest ZipRider which soars 300 feet above the rainforest below.
Day 8: Sitka, USA
Sitka is situated on the seaward side of the Inside Passage. This former capital of the first Imperial Russian settlers in Alaska is one of the most picturesque seaside towns in the state. For centuries Sitka has also been home to the Tlingit Indians with their heritage brought to life in Sitka National Historical Park, the adjacent Sitka Cultural Centre, and the many hand-crafted totem poles that line the rainforest pathways. Admire the onion-shaped domes of St Michael's Cathedral or join a fishing tour in search of halibut and salmon. Go hiking in Tongrass Rainforest, enjoy a scenic bike ride along the coastal road to Thimbleberry, or take a boat trip through the Sitka Sound.
Day 9: Ketchikan, USA
Ketchikan can be described as the first city of Alaska. Situated in the most southern part of the state and surrounded by deep fjords and lush forests, this small fishing town is a popular stop with cruise lines. Take a walk down the waterfront and admire the awe-inspiring views. Enjoy a tour to the 40-acre Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary to view bald eagles and black bears. Visit the totem poles at Totem Bight State Park and Potlatch Totem Park or journey to the glacier-carved wilderness at the Misty Fiords National Monument. You can also ride an off-road vehicle and try zip lining, kayaking and hiking.
Day 10: At Sea
Day 11: Victoria, Canada
Also known as the 'The Garden City' of Canada, Victoria sits on the southern end of Vancouver Island. The area is a hotspot for whales which can often be seen from the harbour or take a boat trip for a close up view. The city's British Colonial past comes to life in its Victorian buildings, including the stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion. Admire the 55 acres of colourful floral displays and water features at Butchart Gardens and view the butterflies at Victoria Butterfly Gardens. Step back in time at Royal British Columbia Museum or observe worldwide destinations in miniature form at Miniature World.
Day 12: Vancouver, Canada
Your cruise comes to an end in Vancouver where you disembark the ship. Enjoy a coach transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
