Savour traditional local dishes or tuck into internationally inspired specialities at meal-times, each professionally served by your restaurant team. Choose a bottle of wine from the extensive wine-list to enhance your dining experience.
Mingle with your fellow guests or simply relax and take in the ever-changing views out of the floor-to-ceiling windows of the cosy Lounge Bar. The Lido Bar opens up onto a terrace for alfresco cocktails admiring the colourful sunsets over the horizon.

Day 1: UK to Amsterdam
Fly from the UK to the Netherlands' iconic capital of Amsterdam and embark on MS Serenity. Enjoy a relaxing evening on board as you settle into your cabin and depart on a river cruising adventure.
Day 2: Amsterdam
This morning you are free to explore Amsterdam. Famous for its canal network; take a relaxed boat trip to get a glimpse at the best views of the city or take a walk through the central Dam Square. Visit the Ann Frank House, which is packed with biographical history of the wartime writer's life. Museums are not in shortage in the city; Van Gogh Museum is home to world's largest collection of the artist's work, while Rijksmuseum is dedicated to arts and history in the borough of Amsterdam South. In the afternoon, the ship sets sail towards your next destination, Cologne.
Day 3: Cologne, Germany
Watch the idyllic scenery glide by as you cruise towards the largest city on the Rhine, Cologne. Step ashore and spend the remainder of the day exploring this beautiful city, perhaps beginning with the grand and gothic Cologne Cathedral. Take a peaceful stroll through Rheinpark or check out Old Market to find a variety of shops and also restaurants and bars where you can stop for a spot of lunch.
Day 4: Cologne to Rudesheim
Relax and unwind out on the sun deck as the ship sails to the quaint wine town of Rudesheim. If you choose to partake in the optional daytime and evening excursions, then expect a cable car ride to see panoramic views, as well as a traditional wine cellar visit to sample some of the region’s delicious wine. If you'd prefer to organise your own schedule; be sure to visit Niederwalddenkma, a historic monument offering beautiful hilltop views. Ehrenfels Castle displays excavated ruins and can be found from a hiking path. Pay a visit to Klopp Castle, a hilltop castle offering scenic vistas from its observation deck and also an educational museum.
Day 5: Rudesheim to Mainz
The city of Mainz is your next port of call, at the confluence of the Rhine and Main rivers. Join the optional coach excursion to visit the majestic city of Heidelberg, home to Germany's oldest university. Alternatively, spend the morning exploring the city at your own pace. Meander along the Rheinsteig hiking trail, which follows the east bank of the Rhine River, leading to a vineyard and the chance to sample some local wine. Mainz Citadel is a 16th-centure fortress that offers guided tours and theatrical performances and Lenneberqwald is a beautiful green forest perfect for a peaceful stroll and a breath of fresh air. For a glimpse at stunning stained-glass windows and a late-Gothic cloister, St Stephan is the place to be.
Day 6: Miltenberg, Germany
This morning you can revel in free time to explore the pearl of the River Main - the historic town of Miltenberg. Find the half-timbered houses that fill the Old Market Place, which is a great spot to bag some bargains and enjoy in a peaceful stroll by the waterfall. Another top walking location is Mumling, a 49.7km-long river of Hesse and Bavaria, where you can savour peaceful green surroundings and the sound of rushing water. Visit Wildenberg Castle with its fascinating ruins; why not take a picnic along and enjoy a bite to eat by the historic building? Uncover regional artefacts, photos, crafts, and religious art at Miltenberg City Museum to learn of the town's past times. In the afternoon, the ship sets sail for Wurzburg.
Day 7: Wurzburg, Germany
Glide into the city of Wurzburg, which for centuries served as the home of powerful prince-bishops. You'll have the option to join the excursion to visit Wurzburg Palace, or roam Wurzburg at your leisure. During your stop, why not visit Wurzburg Cathedral, the 17th-century landmark Kappele, or the beautiful gardens and chateau of Court Garden. Soak up beautiful views from the terraced gardens of Marienberg Fortress, before exploring the 13th-century fortress housing, art and history museums within. Open to pedestrians only and featuring statues of iconic saints, Old Main Bridge is an educational and pleasant walk in the city.
Day 8: Bamberg, Germany
We arrive in Bamberg in the afternoon, which is located at the start of the Main-Danube canal. Surrounded by seven hills, it boasts the most intact centre in Germany with the old town listed as a world heritage site because of its authentic medieval appearance. Join our city tour to enjoy the main sights including the cathedral, Altenburg Castle, the Old Town Hall and the former Benedictine Monastery. This evening we cruise along the Main-Danube canal towards Nuremberg.
Day 9: Nuremberg, Germany
This morning we bid farewell to our captain and crew and disembark our ship. We have free time in Nuremberg which is Bavaria’s second largest city after Munich. It combines medieval and modern life in an area filled with gothic churches, aristocratic houses, fountains, memorials and romantic corners. Our optional excursion is a great way to make the most of our visit before we check in at our hotel – those travelling by rail stay in Nuremberg and those travelling by coach are taken to Cologne. Those travelling by air set off on the return journey in the morning.
Day 10: Nuremberg to UK
After breakfast, bid farewell to your captain and crew before disembarking MS Serenity for your return flight back to the UK.
