Overview Itinerary
The Ship
With twelve decks lined with comfortable staterooms and a wide selection of dining and entertainment venues, Marella Dream is ideal for family cruises. Spend your days at sea around one of the ship's swimming pools — which include kids, adults and family options — or relax at the beach club-styled Sun Lounge where you’ll find whirlpools and daybeds. Children have their own club activities including film nights, mocktail-making parties, and arts and crafts; while adults can indulge in a massage or beauty treatment at Oceans Spa and Beauty Salon. Dining on Marella Dream offers casual and formal venues with both a la carte and buffet options. After dinner, head to Broadway Show Lounge for live performances and comedy acts, sip drinks in one of the many bars, or dance the night away at the disco. The ship docks at an exciting choice of ports of call where you can go sightseeing independently or join an organised excursion.

Food
Lido Restaurant offers full-cooked breakfasts, as well as salads, pizzas, soups, barbecue food, meat dishes, and themed nights including Italian and Mexican. Experience waiter service and open-seating at breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Orion Restaurant. The poolside Sirens Restaurant is your breakfast and lunchtime buffet venue that also offers tasty afternoon teas. For sophisticated dining and a delicious a la carte menu, visit Mistral's Restaurant and enjoy its friendly waiter service or opt for Kora La Restaurant for diverse Asian cuisines. Head to the open-air Terrace Grill for omelettes, hot dogs and pizzas by day; returning in the evening for steaks served on sizzling-hot slabs of stone when it changes into the Hot Stone Grill.

Drink
The Coffee Port serves a tasty range of coffees, cakes and ice creams before transforming into a cocktail corner at night, while Explorers' Lounge — one of the ship's Wi-Fi zones — is the place to go for cappuccinos, alcoholic drinks, and smooth music. Enjoy music until late at Medusa Lounge & Bar and or head to Tides for casual drinks and piano music. The Water's Edge is great if you fancy a gin and tonic on the outdoor terrace or late night dancing. You also have two lively pool bars to enjoy throughout the day — ideal for colourful cocktails and sea views in the sunshine.

Entertainment
There's plenty to keep everyone entertained during days and nights at sea. Chill out in the sun at the kids and family pools or head to the adult pool and Sun Lounge to find whirlpools and daybeds. Oceans Spa and Beauty Salon is perfect for indulgent treatments, while children aged 3-11 years can enjoy fun activities with new-found friends in the Kids' Club. In the evening, visit Broadway Show Lounge for live music, West End-style performances and comedy acts, or have a gamble at the roulette and blackjack tables in the casino. There are also several lounges featuring piano music and solo acts to entertain you until late.
Day 1: UK to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Fly from your chosen UK airport to Las Palmas and take a coach transfer to the port to board Marella Dream and set sail towards La Gomera.
Day 2: San Sebastian, La Gomera
San Sebastian on the island of La Gomera is your next port of call. The resort's highlights include Torre del Conde - built to ward off pirates in bygone years - and Casa de Colon, where Columbus stayed before setting sail across the Atlantic. Pick up local delicacies such as La Gomera’s honey, palm honey, spicy almogrote cheese pate, and mojo sauce at Mercado Municipal. Spend a few hours sunbathing on Playa de Avalo beach or depart on a whale watching boat trip. Admire the vivid floral exhibits and ancient laurel forest at Garajonay National Park.
Day 3: Funchal, Madeira
It is very easy to see why Madeira has gained the name of 'The Garden Island'. Lush greenery with an array of tropical fruits, this island is a favourite on many cruise itineraries. Take gondola ride to the mountain village of Monte to experience some of the most breathtaking views of the island, then take the thrilling way down on a local toboggan, winding and bending over the cobbles; this is something you won’t want to miss. For wine lovers, venture out into the vineyards and experience some of the famous wine of the region.
Day 4: At Sea
Day 5: Arrecife, Lanzarote
Today the ship drops anchor at Arrecife on the Canarian island of Lanzarote. Two splendid castles form the backdrop to the harbour - the 15th-century Castillo San Gabriel and 17th-century Castillo San Jose. The beautiful golden sands of Playa de Reducto are the perfect place to spend a few hours sunbathing. Venture inland to explore the lunar landscapes of Timanfaya National Park's fire mountains, Cesar Manrique's unique Jardin de Cactus on the outskirts of Guatiza, and Jameos Del Agua cave.
Day 6: Puerto Del Rosario, Fuerteventura
The busy port of Puerto del Rosario is Fuerteventura’s capital and is known for its whitewashed houses and open-air artworks. Explore and admire the outdoor sculpture park packed full of mural paintings and more than 50 pieces of art scattered across the city. Adventurers challenge your loved ones to a lap around the tracks at Fuerteventura Karting Club. Shopping lovers retreat to Centro Comercial Las Rotondas and indulge in some retail therapy in the local and popular high street shops. Dine in true Spanish style overlooking the ocean with a paella at El Cangrejo Colorao. Head to Playa Chica beach to try your hand at snorkelling, or simply soak up the sun on the sand. End the day with some salsa and Latin dancing or listen to a resident band all at Mamba Rumba.
Day 7: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is one of the island's best kept secrets. Santa Cruz De Tenerife, known locally as Santa Cruz, is a bustling centre of culture and activity. Visit the Museum of Man and Nature and discover the evolution of the Canary Islands. Alternatively, head to the award-winning Loro Parque wildlife park and come face-to-face with amazing animals and exotic birds. Head down to the Downtown Santa Cruz shopping district and enjoy a superb range of shops and tapas bars. Soak up the sun on the golden sands of La Teresitas beach or hike around the surrounding mountains and savour the picturesque views.
Day 8: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to UK
Your cruise comes to an end in Las Palmas where you disembark and take a coach transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
