Discover destination-inspired cuisine made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients in Star Clipper's dining room. Start your day with a light continental breakfast of pastries, croissants and English muffins, or tuck into freshly-cooked bacon, sausages, and eggs. Lunch is buffet-style with seafood, salads and grilled delights on the menu or perhaps an occasional outdoor barbecue. Dine at a time to suit in the evening; when you can you opt for a quiet table for two or eat at a larger table with new-found friends.
The indoor-outdoor Tropical Bar and adjoining Piano Bar are both a hive of activity from dawn until dusk. Unwind here with your morning cup of coffee or sip cocktails and socialise in the evening after dinner.
The Captain's daily briefing on deck is a round-up of the day and reveals the wonders of your upcoming ports of call. Local performers come aboard at some ports to entertain you and there is also live music in the Tropical and Piano Bars to bring your day to a close in style.
Day 1 - 5: UK – Bali, Indonesia
Fly from your chosen UK airport to Bali, Indonesia and be privately transferred to the 5* Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, Nusa Dua for your 5 night pre cruise stay.
Day 6: Embarkation – Benoa/Bali, Indonesia
Today you will be privately transferred to the Port of Benoa where you will embark Star Clipper.
Day 7: Gili Kondo – Lombok, Indonesia
Gili Kondo, located in East Lombok, is a visitor’s paradise. Lined with tropical trees and pretty plants, this island is perfect for families, couples, friends, and those seeking ultimate bliss. Feel your toes sink into the sand as you spend a day soaking up the sun and topping up your tan. Swim in the warm, turquoise waters, and go scuba diving or snorkelling to get up close and personal with coral and local marine life. Play beach volleyball with new-found friends, and as the sun goes down, watch the sunset over Lombok Island with your loved one.
Day 9: Komodo National Park – Komodo, Indonesia – Pink Beach, Komodo
Komodo Island is home to rustic red volcanic hills, forests, and the three-metre-long Komodo Dragon monitor lizard. See the Komodo Dragons at the National Park, where you find more than 4000 of the species. For a more chilled vibe, soak up the sun at pink beach - a scenic and sandy spot which displays beautiful coral reef. Explore the marine life close-up as you scuba dive at Scuba Republic Indonesia. Discover the deep-blue waters of Gili Lawa Island, and surrounding seas which are have sea-grass beds rich in sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, and whales. Hike Padar Island and finish off the day by watching the stunning sunset overlooking breathtaking landscapes.
Day 10: Satonda Island
Just off the coast of Northern Sumbawa is one of the most popular stops, Satonda Island. The island is the result of a flooded volcano, and features a calm bay filled with coral reef - perfect for a day of scuba diving. where you might even see an array of colourful reef fish. Visit the quaint village of Waikelo and experience traditional Indonesian life, or head to Komodo National Park and see Komodo Dragons. Ascend Mount Tambora to relish in stunning views over the island, and finish off your day watching the beautiful sunset.
Day 11: Gili Meno – Gili Trawangan
Your first stop-off today is on Gili Meno Island off the northwest coast of Lombok Island in Indonesia. As the smallest of the three Gili Islands; Gili Meno is only 2km long and one kilometre wide. Take in the tranquil atmosphere as you dine on grilled fish or sip fruity cocktails at a local cafe. Watch indigenous sea turtles swimming at Turtle Point, go diving/snorkelling at the infamous Gili Meno Wall, or admire the 300+ birds at Gili Meno Bird Park. Next stop is Gili Trawangan (aka Gili T) - the polar opposite of Gili Meno. This cosmopolitan island is the perfect spot to simply relax on the beach and sunbathe or get active by renting a bike, joining a diving trip to the sunken ship at Wreck Point, or taking a horse carriage ride to see the sights. Climb up to the hilltop lookout for panoramic views and listen out for the call to prayer at the island's three mosques.
Day 12: Gili Naggu
Located in the southwestern peninsula of Lombok, Gili Nanggu is the perfect place to spend a quiet, relaxing day. Walk along the powdery white sand and nap by the shaded tropical palm trees. Take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear seawater and get a glimpse of the marine life as you snorkel or scuba dive. Why not hire a boat and explore some of the stunning surrounding islands?
Day 13: Disembarkation – Benoa/Bali, Indonesia – UK
Disembark the ship and be privately transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
