Day 11: Newport, USA
Newport in Rhode Island is one of North America's oldest cities. This remarkable place is packed to the brim with attractions — from the National Historic Landmarks District, Brick Market Museum and White Horse Tavern, to the Old Colony House, Quaker Meeting House, Trinity Church, and Touro Synagogue. Explore the life of the Vanderbilts on a tour of The Breakers and Marble House or discover early 20th-century high society at The Elms French-style chateau. Rough Point on opulent Bellevue Avenue and the famous Astor’s Beechwood Mansion are well worth a visit, too!
