Majestic Princess joins the Princess Cruises' fleet in spring 2017. This luxury ship sets sail from her home port of Shanghai with 3,560 passengers cruising around Japan and Korea. As the first ship tailored to Chinese travellers, she shares the popular features of her sister ships Royal Princess and Regal Princess with the addition of unique innovations.
A wider choice of casual dining venues and entertainment options have been added to the expanded Piazza Atrium and all outside staterooms now have a balcony. The top deck pool area is the fleet's largest and boasts the Princess Water Colour Fantasy evening shows and an improved Movies Under the Stars cinema screen. Day 1: UK to Sydney, Australia
Fly from your chosen UK airport to Sydney and make your way to your selected hotel for a two-night pre stay.
Day 2: Sydney, Australia
Sydney is the capital of New South Wales and is packed to the brim with famous attractions and sights. Explore Sydney Harbour with its Opera House and Harbour Bridge; before relaxing with a seafood platter in an open-air, waterside eatery. Admire the architecture at Parliament House, Australia Museum and Sydney Town Hall. Head to Darling Harbour and visit Sea Life Sydney Aquarium and Wild Life Sydney Zoo, before discovering the city's history at the nearby Rocks area and Rocks Discovery Museum. Ride to the top of Sydney Tower Eye for amazing city-wide views and to meet the challenge of the Skywalk. Or simply hop on a ferry and spend a few hours enjoying the delights of Manly Beach.
Day 3: Sydney, Australia (Embarkation Day)
After check out make your way to the port to board Majestic Princess for your twelve-night cruise.
Day 6: Noumea, New Caledonia
Off the east coast of Australia lies the island of New Caledonia. The Port of Noumea provides easy access to the beautiful beaches on Baie des Citrons and Anse Vata to the south. You can also take a few minutes boat ride to the offshore beaches Îlot Maître and Îlot Canard. All of these locations provide opportunity to engage in outdoor water sports all year round. The cultural diversity will be felt throughout the city as well — whether it’s through sightseeing the traditional architecture such as Saint Joseph’s Cathedral or dining in the fusion of flavours and cuisines.
Day 8: Dravuni Island, Fiji
A volcanic island in the Kadavu Group of islands in Fiji, Dravuni is inhabited by approximately 125 people and is the most northern of the islands within the Great Astrolabe Reef. The islanders will be ready to greet you with their singing. You'll be able stroll around the entire island in no time taking in beautiful plants and wildlife along the way. Head uphill to make it to the top of the peak; a great spot to admire vistas across the whole island. Pick up clothing, crafts, and jewellery from the quaint little shops or spend a day at the beach to splash in the crystal-blue waters. Snorkel next to Astrolabe Reef, a divers' paradise, to get a glimpse of unique sea life.
Day 9: Suva, Fiji
Approximately 10 minutes from the capital of Fiji, the Port of Suva is located on the south-eastern coast of the island. Get an in-depth look at the islands’ history, politics and culture at the national Fiji Museum. You can also explore the historical and cultural bonds between India and Fiji in the Indian Cultural Centre. Visit the Suva Municipal Market where you have a wide choice of tropical fruits and handmade goods. On top of the markets, there are also plenty of modern retail shops and duty-free stores to bag yourself a bargain.
Day 10: Savusavu, Fiji
Located on the south coast of Vanua Levu Island; Savusavu is a town in the Fijian Province of Cakaudrove and is known as 'the hidden paradise of Fiji'. A scuba divers' haven; the magnificent marine life and soft coral is the ultimate dream, marvel at unique fish and plant species. Take a peaceful walk around Flora Tropica Gardens to look at 300 species of palms or explore the 120-hectare flora and fauna of Waisali Rainforest Reserve. Spend time viewing the impressive waterfalls; Nakawaga Waterfall is located in a small jungle. Said to be extremely therapeutic, take a dip in the hot springs to end your day in the tropical climate. For quality island coffee get your caffeine fix from the Captain's Cafe on Copra Shed Marina.
Day 11: Lautoka, Fiji
The Port of Lautoka is situated on the western side of the island and is just a 20 minute walk from Lautoka. Explore the wide range of local markets that sell a variety of handmade goods and crafts. You can also take a short trip to the Vuda Marina and try the local cuisines. Around 10km south-east of Lautoka is the Koroyanitu National Heritage Park for those that enjoy mountain trails and scenic views. Alternatively, take a cruise ship around the island and see the pristine waters of Fiji in all its beauty or relax and forget about the world on the various beaches available throughout the area.
Day 15: Sydney, Australia
Today your cruise comes to an end. Disembark and make your way back to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
