Overview Itinerary
The Ship
The intimate Boudicca delivers high-quality service and a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step on board. With a total passenger capacity of 880 — rare in modern cruising — she is a ship that provides you with more space for relaxing, as well as greater access to shorelines that larger ships can't reach. The range of dishes and dining venues on Boudicca is remarkable. Breakfast offers hot and continental options alongside fresh pancakes and omelettes, while dinner menus bring Scandinavian herring platter, Indian-spiced butterfish, Irish stew, Norwegian salmon, and braised venison. You also have Far East specialities and al fresco dining to enjoy during your time at sea. Indulge yourself in some retail therapy, relax in a hot tub and unwind in a welcoming bar or traditional lounge. You can entertain yourself with swimming, ballroom dancing, spa sessions, and card games during the day before spending the evening watching live comedy acts and music performances. A cruise on Boudicca offers you close-up views and limitless luxury.

Food
On Boudicca, you have the chance to experience some of the best dining at sea. Choose from one of three main dining rooms — Tintagel Restaurant, The Heligan Room and Four Seasons Restaurant — which all offer a choice of high-quality food and varied menus each night. The Grill lets you relax poolside and dine al fresco with dishes here including: shrimp salad, burgers, blueberry cheesecake, grilled seafood, and fillet steak. Head to Secret Garden Café to enjoy a relaxed buffet-dining experience, or The Bookmark Cafe for espressos, teas and luxury chocolates.

Drink
During the day, The Marquee Bar offers refreshing drinks — including premium gins — to enjoy in the sun. One of the favourite spots for guests to have an early-evening drink is The Observatory, which offers a relaxing pianist, welcoming atmosphere and views of the sunset. Head to the traditional British-style Morning Light Pub for a relaxed and informal ambience where you can enjoy good company, then go to Lido Lounge for a range of beers, spirits and cocktails. The highlight of most nights is Neptune Lounge where there are cabarets, live music, bright costumes, and dancing shows. Or for some peace and quiet, try Iceni Room which offers leather seats along with tea and coffee making facilities.

Entertainment
Fred. Olsen's entertainment venues include swimming pools, hot tubs, spa, sauna, gym, shops, library, cards room, arts and crafts sessions, and golf nets. During the evening, head to Neptune Lounge where you can enjoy singers, dancers, comedians, and magicians. There's also the casino which features roulette and blackjack.
Day 1: Dover, UK
Arrive in Dover and embark on board Boudicca.
Day 2-3: At Sea
Day 4: Leixoes, Portugal
Port of Leixões is the main harbour serving the city of Porto in northern Portugal. Famous for being associated with the shipping of port wine, it's also a great starting point for on-shore excursions. The small city of Leixões is home to a sandy beach, old fortifications, and several bars and restaurants scattered around its port area. The historic centre of nearby Porto is an UNESCO World Heritage site and home to an 18th-century cathedral and a 19th-century palace. Enjoy tours and tastings at local vineyards or stroll around Porto's Ribiera Square, found along the Douro River, to find charming cafes and restaurants.
Day 5: At Sea
Day 6: Funchal, Madeira
It is very easy to see why Madeira has gained the name of 'The Garden Island'. Lush greenery with an array of tropical fruits, this island is a favourite on many cruise itineraries. Take gondola ride to the mountain village of Monte to experience some of the most breathtaking views of the island, then take the thrilling way down on a local toboggan, winding and bending over the cobbles; this is something you won’t want to miss. For wine lovers, venture out into the vineyards and experience some of the famous wine of the region.
Day 7: Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is one of the island's best kept secrets. Santa Cruz De Tenerife, known locally as Santa Cruz, is a bustling centre of culture and activity. Visit the Museum of Man and Nature and discover the evolution of the Canary Islands. Alternatively, head to the award-winning Loro Parque wildlife park and come face-to-face with amazing animals and exotic birds. Head down to the Downtown Santa Cruz shopping district and enjoy a superb range of shops and tapas bars. Soak up the sun on the golden sands of La Teresitas beach or hike around the surrounding mountains and savour the picturesque views.
Day 8: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Arrive in Las Palmas, the capital of Gran Canaria. Explore the impressive Santa Ana Cathedral, Plaza de Santa Ana, Palacio Regental, and the Bishop's Palace in Vegueta - the oldest part of the city. Spend the day sunbathing on Playa de Las Canteras, regarded as one of the world's best beaches, or enjoy live Canarian folk music and dancing at Pueblo Canario. Relax in the idyllic surroundings of Parque Doramas or enjoy a leisurely coffee on Plaza Cairasco. Discover national treasures dating back from Roman times at El Museo Canario. Admire the indigenous flora and fauna at the Jardin Botanico Viera y Clavijo, travel to the famous Maspalomas dunes or join a trek to the Bandama Caldera.
Day 9: Arrecife, Lanzarote
Today the ship drops anchor at Arrecife on the Canarian island of Lanzarote. Two splendid castles form the backdrop to the harbour - the 15th-century Castillo San Gabriel and 17th-century Castillo San Jose. The beautiful golden sands of Playa de Reducto are the perfect place to spend a few hours sunbathing. Venture inland to explore the lunar landscapes of Timanfaya National Park's fire mountains, Cesar Manrique's unique Jardin de Cactus on the outskirts of Guatiza, and Jameos Del Agua cave.
Day 10: At Sea
Day 11: Lisbon, Portugal

Pavement cafes, bustling squares and serene gardens sit alongside palaces, bridges and castles in this waterside city. Immerse yourself in culture at Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and National Museum of Contemporary Art, or enjoy the colourful marine life at Oceanarium. Take a vintage tram ride through the city's cobbled streets, admiring Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower on the way.
