Fly from selected UK airports to Rome and be transferred to the Civitavecchia port to board Crystal Serenity.
Day 2: Santa Margherita, Italy
The port of Santa Margherita sits on Italy's Ligurian coast, 35km southeast of Genoa. This charming town boasts a beautiful seafront promenade lined with elegant hotels and yachts. Stroll up the hillside and visit the small 15th-century Castello, Chiesa dei Frati Cappuccini, and nearby Chiesa di San Giacomo with its Madonna statue. Relax in the idyllic gardens of the 17th-century Villa Durazzo. Day 4: St Tropez, France
The bustling coastal town of St Tropez sits on France's Cote d'Azur. Gaze in awe at the luxury yachts moored at Vieux Port or take a stroll through the cobbled streets of La Ponce old fishing quarter. Day 5: Ajaccio, Corsica
Ajaccio is a jewel on any Mediterranean cruise, one of the easiest destinations to navigate on foot and one of the most characteristic ports you can see. Around the harbour you can find a bustling world of French and Italian influence, with traditional Mediterranean restaurants and local artists on every street corner. Visit the ancestral home of French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte and see the 16th-century Notre-Dame cathedral which is home to paintings by Delacroix and Tintoretto.
Day 6: Livorno (for Florence), Italy
Livorno — Tuscany's second-largest city — is home to one of Italy's largest cruise ports. The city's main Terrazza Mascagni square with its grand pavement and seafront promenade is a common meeting place for locals looking to relax. The 16th-century Old Fortress faces the harbour and sits at the entrance to the canal-lined Venezia district. Enjoy gourmet dishes and sample local seafood, which is said to be the best on the Tyrrhenian Coast. Head to Central Piazza Cavour or the car-free Via Ricasoli for shopping, try Via Magenta and pick up some quirky souvenirs, or stop by Via dei Pensieri's street market for a great selection of food, clothing, accessories, and homewares. If you're looking to travel further afield, Pisa is just a short drive away.
Day 7: Portovenere, Italy
The port village of Portovenere is situated on north-western Italy's Ligurian coastline. The village is best known for Porto Venere Regional Natural Park that takes in the beaches and caves on Palmaria Island and also a protected area of dive sites and trails. Stroll through the Town Gate and Tower and enter Portovenere's historical centre, before exploring the shops and restaurants along Via Capellini main street. Visit the 11th-century Church of San Lorenzo and admire the multi-coloured old houses along the Palazzata sea front. Walk to the rocky headland to view the Gothic-style Church of St Peter and take in the views across the Gulf of Poets from the nearby cliff top Castello Doria fortress.
Day 8: Rome, Italy to UK
Today your cruise comes to an end. Be transferred to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
