Overview Itinerary
The Ship
Crystal Serenity sailed into the Crystal Cruises fleet in 2003. Following a £17 million makeover; this ocean-going ship now draws its inspiration from the casual-yet-cultured vibe of southern California, complemented by a contemporary and chic style. Unique innovations such as the 'vertical walls' of greenery - incorporating a chef's herb garden - and the allergy-friendly PURE Deluxe Staterooms are equally-matched by inspiring artwork and ambient lighting. Make yourself at home in your luxurious accommodation, savour mouth-watering cuisine, expand your mind with enriching activities, luxuriate in the spa, and feel pampered with the first-class service from the crew. Days in port allow you to experience the local culture, sights, and cuisine independently or on a guided excursion.

Crystal Dining Room offers fine dining experiences and a menu of modern and classic dishes. At dinner - choose from three Perfect Choice Dining options including Classic Main, Late Seating, and Dining by Reservation. Lido Cafe is the place for serve-yourself dining from the treat-filled buffets. Trident Grill is set in a light and airy courtyard with a retractable glass roof and offers a menu of grilled fare. Tuck into a varied selection of tapas-sized dishes in the casual Californian-style Tastes on Lido Deck. Sushi Bar and Silk Road Restaurant feature the inventive Japanese cuisine of master chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa (known as 'Nobu' worldwide). Prego Restaurant tempts your palate with a myriad of modern and classic Italian flavours. Vintage Room offers one-of-a-kind luxury winemakers' dinners for the ultimate culinary experiences. In-stateroom dining is also offered 24 hours a day if you wish to dine in the privacy of your stateroom.

Crystal Cove bar overlooks Crystal Plaza and serves a list of custom-blended cocktails or treat yourself to traditional afternoon tea in the idyllic and spacious surrounds of Palm Court. Take your seat in The Bistro to enjoy an array of charcuterie, international cheese, delicious desserts, and speciality coffees. By day, the Avenue Saloon is the perfect spot to escape to for a quiet cocktail; after dark, piano music sets the scene for meeting up with friends for late-night drinks. Sip cocktails with a view at Sunset Bar or unwind on the leather sofas with a vintage brandy in the intimate setting of Connoisseur Club. Pull up a chair at the circular bar in Stardust Club, before hitting the adjoining dance floor with your partner. Unlimited soft drinks and premium beverages including champagne, fine wine and spirits are available during your time on board together with all in-suite soft drinks, beer, and bottled water.

During the daytime; partner up for a few sets of paddle tennis at Wimbledon Court or a game of bridge in the Bridge Room. Perfect your swing at the golf driving nets or aim for a hole in one at the putting green. Unwind in style at Seahorse Pool with its circular pod beds, plush sofas, and two Jacuzzis. Indulge in beauty therapies at Crystal Spa or retail therapy at Avenue of the Stars. Keep in shape in the weight room and fitness centre. Waves Teen Centre and Fantasia Children's Playroom amuse tots to teens for a few hours. Computer University@Sea gives you access to iMacs to surf the Web and learn new skills. Explore the world of digital filmmaking at the Creative Learning Institute in The Studio. In the evening; watch the latest films and classic movies in the Dolby-equipped Hollywood Theatre cinema or visit Galaxy Lounge showroom for Broadway-style productions, comedy revues, celebrity guests, and classical recitals. Stroll up the hillside and visit the small 15th-century Castello, Chiesa dei Frati Cappuccini, and nearby Chiesa di San Giacomo with its Madonna statue. Day 3: Monte Carlo, Monaco
Monte Carlo is renowned across the world for glamour, gambling and the Grand Prix. Found in the principality of Monaco — the world's second-smallest country — Monte Carlo is a stylish destination where you can find mega yachts, botanical gardens and luxury hotels. During the day, relax at Larvotto Beach or see the famous Circuit de Monaco — where the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix takes place. You also have the Oceanographic Museum, Monaco Cathedral, Napoleon Museum, and Prince's Palace of Monaco to enjoy. In the evening, truly experience the splendour of the nation with a visit to the iconic Monte Carlo Casino or Opera de Monte Carlo. See more of the stunning French Riviera with a tour along the coast to sample local wines and cheeses.
Day 4: St Tropez, France
The bustling coastal town of St Tropez sits on France's Cote d'Azur. St Tropez was made famous in the Brigitte Bardot film 'And God Created Woman' in the 1950s and remains a favourite with the jet-set, especially in the summer months. Gaze in awe at the luxury yachts moored at Vieux Port or take a stroll through the cobbled streets of La Ponce old fishing quarter. People-watch over a glass of local pastis at Place de Lices or admire the amazing city-wide views from La Citadelle de Saint-Tropez. Call into Eglise de St-Tropez and Chapelle de la Misericorde or enjoy the artworks at Musee de l’Annonciade. Spend a few hours sunbathing on the golden sands of Pampelonne Beach or get up close to the colourful butterfly exhibits at Maison des Papillons.
Day 5: Ajaccio, Corsica
Ajaccio is a jewel on any Mediterranean cruise, one of the easiest destinations to navigate on foot and one of the most characteristic ports you can see. Around the harbour you can find a bustling world of French and Italian influence, with traditional Mediterranean restaurants and local artists on every street corner. Visit the ancestral home of French Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte and see the 16th-century Notre-Dame cathedral which is home to paintings by Delacroix and Tintoretto.
Day 6: Livorno (for Florence), Italy
Livorno — Tuscany's second-largest city — is home to one of Italy's largest cruise ports. The city's main Terrazza Mascagni square with its grand pavement and seafront promenade is a common meeting place for locals looking to relax. The 16th-century Old Fortress faces the harbour and sits at the entrance to the canal-lined Venezia district. Enjoy gourmet dishes and sample local seafood, which is said to be the best on the Tyrrhenian Coast. Head to Central Piazza Cavour or the car-free Via Ricasoli for shopping, try Via Magenta and pick up some quirky souvenirs, or stop by Via dei Pensieri's street market for a great selection of food, clothing, accessories, and homewares. If you're looking to travel further afield, Pisa is just a short drive away.
Day 7: Portovenere, Italy
The port village of Portovenere is situated on north-western Italy's Ligurian coastline. The village is best known for Porto Venere Regional Natural Park that takes in the beaches and caves on Palmaria Island and also a protected area of dive sites and trails. Stroll through the Town Gate and Tower and enter Portovenere's historical centre, before exploring the shops and restaurants along Via Capellini main street. Visit the 11th-century Church of San Lorenzo and admire the multi-coloured old houses along the Palazzata sea front. Walk to the rocky headland to view the Gothic-style Church of St Peter and take in the views across the Gulf of Poets from the nearby cliff top Castello Doria fortress.
