Day 2 - 5: Majorca (Palma Nova), Spain
Palma sits on the south coast of Balearic island of Majorca and is the island's capital city. The streets of this vibrant port city are lined with an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, and heritage buildings. Explore the narrow alleys and lanes of the old town, before spending time at the impressive Palma Cathedral. Day 7: Ibiza, Spain
Ibiza is part of Spain's Balearic Islands. Famous for its lively nightlife, this popular island also features plenty of landmarks and activities to enjoy. Walk the perimeter of Dalt Vila's Renaissance ramparts and see the 18th-century Sant Carles church. You can stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage site of the old town district and stop for a beer or coffee at one of the welcoming cafes and tapas bars. Sail to Es Vedra — a tall limestone island that is famous for being a site of myths and legends. Ibiza Town and San Antonio Bay have a huge selection of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues open both day and night. Day 9: Naples, Italy
Naples on Italy's Amalfi Coast is your next port of call. Visit Piazza del Plebiscito to admire the Royal Palace, Galleria Umberto and San Carlo Theatre. Step inside the Duomo to view the Cappella di San Gennaro, the baptistery, and colourful frescoes and mosaics. Enjoy family-time at Acquario Della Stazione Zoological Di Napoli. Join a tour to the ruins of Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and picturesque Sorrento and Positano. Or take a scenic boat trip to the beautiful island of Capri.
Day 10: Livorno, Italy
Livorno — Tuscany's second-largest city — is home to one of Italy's largest cruise ports. The city's main Terrazza Mascagni square with its grand pavement and seafront promenade is a common meeting place for locals looking to relax. The 16th-century Old Fortress faces the harbour and sits at the entrance to the canal-lined Venezia district. Enjoy gourmet dishes and sample local seafood, which is said to be the best on the Tyrrhenian Coast. Head to Central Piazza Cavour or the car-free Via Ricasoli for shopping, try Via Magenta and pick up some quirky souvenirs, or stop by Via dei Pensieri's street market for a great selection of food, clothing, accessories, and homewares. If you're looking to travel further afield, Pisa is just a short drive away.
Day 11: Genoa, Italy
Step ashore today at the lively Italian port of Genoa. Stroll around the old town district and uncover Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, Palazzo Ducale, Piazza de Ferrari, and the Renaissance palaces on Via Garibaldi. Ride the Il Bigo elevator at the Old Harbour to enjoy panoramic views of the area. Visit Acquario de Genova for close-up views of colourful marine life or explore the city's maritime heritage at Galata Maritime Museum. Santa Margherita Ligure and the stylish resort of Portofino are just waiting to be discovered further along the coast.
Day 12: Marseille, France
Marseille sits on the Cote d'Azur on the south coast of France. Meander around the Vieux-Port and watch the fishermen land their day's catch, before heading uphill to explore the local artisan boutiques and art galleries in Le Panier old quarter. Pay a visit to Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde and Cathedrale de la Major de Marseille. Step back in time at Musee des Civilisation de l'Europe et de la Mediterranee (MuCEM) and Musee d'Histoire de Marseille.
