Marella Explorer 2 sails into the Marella Cruises' fleet in summer 2019 as the sister ship to Marella Explorer. Reserved exclusively for adults and featuring the all inclusive concept; the ship also boasts the fleet's largest spa and wellness centre and a new and wide choice of dining venues. The fourteen decks showcase a smart and contemporary decor, luxurious cabins and suites, eight restaurants and ten bars, a spacious pool area with stage and whirlpools, casino-come-nightclub, and a vibrant daytime and evening entertainment scene. Day 1: Fly UK to Naples, Italy

Day 3: Tarragona, Spain
Tarragona is a popular stop-off on any Mediterranean cruise itinerary. Situated on the 14km of coastline that Costa Daurada has to offer, Tarragona is a great place to sample some of the heavenly, unspoiled beaches and the fabulous Mediterranean climate. There are also stunning medieval and Art Noveau sites to visit, such as The Tarragona Amphitheatre and Roman Circus. Leading European theme park, Portaventura, is close by, which is perfect for family-friendly fun.
Day 4: Toulon, France
Toulon is a port city on southern France’s Mediterranean coast, lined with sandy beaches and shingle coves. Board a Toulon cable car to Mont Faron and bask in the amazing views across the bay, visit Zoo du Mont Faron, and enjoy a host of activities such as rock climbing and mountain biking. Pay a visit to the Musée National de la Marine and lose yourself in Toulon’s rich naval history. Enjoy the morning market along Cours Lafayette, before indulging in traditional French cuisine at a nearby bistro. Spend a few hours on the Plages du Mourillon beaches to the east of the port.
Day 5: Livorno, Italy
The Italian port of Livorno gives you access to both Florence and Pisa. Florence is the capital of the Tuscany region and the centre of Italian Renaissance. Explore Italy's greatest artistic treasures; Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Piazza Duomo with its world famous dome. No visit would be complete without stopping by the Uffizi Gallery and admiring the panoramic views of Florence from the 19th-century Pizzale Michelangelo. Pisa is most famous for its iconic leaning tower and is a must on any to-see list. Take a tour around the five-aisled Romanesque Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the nearby Baptistery. Pay a visit to Campo Santo (Sacred Field), Museo Nazionale, and Palazzo dei Cavalieri.
Day 6: Civitavecchia, Italy
The capital of Italy, Rome, is a sprawling city cosmopolitan city brimming with globally-influential art, architecture, and culture. The three-tiered Roman Colosseum amphitheatre offers fascinating tours of ancient history. The late Renaissance St Peter's Basilica was crafted by Michelangelo and other architects and is a must-see. The crystal blue waters and sculptures of Trevi Fountain will leave you mesmerised. The Roman Forum is the excavated heart of the Roman Empire and provides an insight of age-old times. Vatican Museums are home to Renaissance art treasures and feature the Sistine Chapel frescoes. Take a walk down the famous Spanish Steps. Pay a visit to the bustling Piazza Navona with its Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, Fontana del Moro, and Fontana del Nettuno fountains, exquisite bars, and talented street artists.
Day 7: Olbia, Sardinia
The picture-perfect coastal city of Olbia is located to the northeast of the island of Sardinia. Stroll along the palm-lined waterfront and uncover the city's maritime past at Museo Archaeologico de Olbia. Meander through the city centre and admire sights such as the Chiesa de San Paolo and the medieval San Simplicio Basilica. Unwind with a coffee at Piazza Matteotti; before indulging in a spot of window-shopping at the designer boutiques on nearby Sottopiazza and La Passeggiata. Head up to the hilltop Nuraghe Riu Mulinu archaeological complex and admire the far-reaching views over the Gulf of Olbia.
Day 8: Naples, Italy to UK
Disembark in Naples and make your way to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
