Overview Itinerary
The Ship
Sapphire Princess sailed into the Princess Cruises Fleet in 2004 as the twin sister ship to Diamond Princess. Sapphire Princess brings together a range of facilities for a wide range of cruisers, including family holidays, couples and luxury cruising. She can often be found cruising the exotic waters around the coasts of Asia, keeping full steam ahead with the Princess Cruises flare for perfection, whilst bringing together some of the best facilities from across the fleet. Receiving a full refurbishment in 2012 only reinforced and developed her appeal within the fleet, with the addition of a number of new facilities that have been established on the newer ships such as Movies Under The Stars and the adult only area The Sanctuary. Sapphire Princess has a quintessential charm that offers a desired mixture of the old and the new that is rarely seen on ships anymore, and it is this that will keep you coming back for more.

Food
Princess Cruises are passionate about the food they serve, and this is clear throughout the fleet. Chefs serving the finest ingredients to create the most inspiring flavours and culinary masterpieces, there will be something different each day to tickle your taste buds. With the option to dine your way, at your time in the restaurant of your choice means total flexibility to enjoy your cruise your way. Dine traditionally at a set time, exceptional service provided by your waiter throughout the cruise, and share your experiences with like similar like minded people on your table. If you prefer something more flexible, Sapphire Princess offers you the chance of Anytime Dining allowing you to dine at a time that suits you and meet new friends each day. Speak to your consultant about the best option to suit your needs. Fancy something a bit different one night? Then why not book yourself into one of the speciality restaurants found on board Sapphire Princess. Sabatini's Italian restaurant is a firm favourite on ship, showcasing rustic, authentic cuisine from around the Mediterranean in a casual and relaxed environment. The Crown Grill is the place to be at sea to receive tender succulent steaks cooked just how you like them, being awarded 'Best Cruise Ship Steakhouse' by USA today. Not only does this restaurant cook your favourite steak, try some of the fantastic seafood on offer here, from a wide range of grilled fish, to whole lobster. Take a look and be wowed by the quality.

Drink
Whether it's a quiet place to relax or a nightclub to party into the early hours you're looking for, you will surely find that special place on Sapphire Princess. Take some time and relax over some exquisite wine conversing with new and old friends in one of the many lounge bar areas such as Wheelhouse Bar or Crooners Bar or even relax with a fine brandy in Churchill's Lounge whilst watching some of the latest sporting events. For the young, and young at heart, head up to the top deck where you can find Skywalkers Nightclub, a place where you can let loose and dance the night away.

Entertainment
If you haven't been enticed into one or more of the bars on ship then why not head down to the theatre? Have a seat an enjoy some Broadway style productions with a nice glass of wine, or head up onto top deck with a warm blanket and watch Movies Under The Stars in the outdoor theatre. Or try your luck on the roulette under the bright lights and electric atmosphere of the Asian themed Grand Casino, and then afterwards take in a more intimate performance in Crooners Lounge, showcasing stand up comedy and some of the best singers at sea.
Day 1: Southampton, UK
Arrive in Southampton and board Sapphire Princess for your seven-night cruise.
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Stavanger, Norway
Arrive at the port of Stavanger - gateway to the majestic Lysefjord. Meander through the cobbled streets lined with white-washed wooden houses and see artists at work in the old quarter. Visit the 12th-century Stavanger Cathedral and marvel at its vaulted ceiling and 13th-century Gothic chancel. Stop by the Norwegian Canning Museum to appreciate the town's heritage as the 'herring capital' of Norway.
Day 4: Olden, Norway
Olden sits at the eastern end of the serene Nordfjord, where the water divides into three arms beneath the Jostedalsbreen glacier. The village is surrounded by green meadows with babbling brooks meandering between pretty houses. Visit the village centre to discover the 17th-century church and Singerheimen, which is the former home of the founder of the sewing machine company. Take to the Nordfjord for a rafting or kayaking adventure. Admire the green waters of Olden Lake and enjoy the cliffs and glaciers of the Oldedalen valley, which runs for 12 miles behind Olden. Walk among waterfalls and view the glistening blue ice at the impressive Briksdal Glacier — one of Norway's most visited sights.
Day 5: Hellesylt & Geiranger, Norway
This morning the ship makes a stop at Hellesylt at the head of the Sunnylvsfjorden. This UNESCO World Heritage listed town boasts beautifully restored farmhouses scattered on the surrounding hills and mountains. Visit Sunnylven Church and the unique wood carvings illustrating the legend of Henrik Ibsen's 'Peer Gynt' at the Peer Gynt Gallery. The ship then drops anchor at Geiranger on the shores of UNESCO World Heritage site, Geirangerfjord. Stroll into the village to view the church and sample reindeer and brown goat’s cheese in a local eatery. Enjoy a boat trip along the fjord for close up views of the famous Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls.
