The Royal Caribbean fleet welcomed Jewel of the Seas in May 2004, and this popular Radiance Class ship truly lives up to her name. There's bright light that floods through her floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as glass lifts, domed ceilings and a curved staircase at the glamorous nine-deck high Centrum. From the Viking Crown Lounge on Deck 13 to the Coral Theatre on Deck 4, you'll discover a wealth of gems including bars, lounges, activities, restaurants and entertainment to captivate every sense.
Deck 11 is the heartbeat of the ship on days at sea. You'll find everything you need close at hand - relax in the sunshine, take a swim in the pool or enjoy the Cocktail of the Day from the Pool Bar. Escape to the tranquillity of the adult-only Solarium and chill in the whirlpool, or glam up with a facial and manicure in the Vitality at Sea Spa. Activity-wise, step one deck up and discover child-friendly fun in the Adventure Youth Area and Adventure Beach Pool, but the golf simulator and jogging track is perfect for adults. Jewel of the Seas also drops anchor at a great selection of ports with a variety of adventure and sightseeing choices to discover.
Jewel of the Seas brings together a world of flavours and dining styles in its eateries. The My Time Dining programme lets you eat as early or as late as you like in the Tides, Seaside and Shoreside Dining Rooms, which feature five courses of culinary treats. The casual Windjammer Cafe offers serve-yourself buffet breakfasts and lunches, as well as a restaurant-style dinner service. Or you can dine al fresco on light meals as you take in the ocean scenery from the Seaview Cafe. A handful of speciality restaurants enhance the culinary journey of Jewel of the Seas even further. Savour a luxury dining experience in the magnificent surroundings of the Portofino Italian restaurant, while Chops Grille Steakhouse is on-hand with a menu of premium steaks, fresh seafood, side dishes and succulent desserts.
The bars and lounges aboard Jewel of the Seas offers something for your every mood. Watch the world go by as you sip a cappuccino in Latte'tudes, or enjoy a beer as you follow your favourite team on-screen at Pit Stop. Celebrate that special occasion with a glass of bubbly in Champagne Bar or relax with a cocktail in the nautically-themed Schooner Bar. The Viking Crown Lounge is extremely comfortable with panoramic vistas by day, and sociably bustling with a revolving bar by night.
The evening scene on Jewel of the Seas offers something to match your every mood. Broadway and Vegas-style shows and variety acts light up the stage each night in the Coral Theatre, while Hollywood Odyssey Cigar Bar blends a lounge atmosphere with live entertainment. The Safari venue combines four clubs including: The Game Reserves, Serengeti Card Club, The Congo Bar and the Zanzibar Lounge, into one customised and bustling setting. Take a chance at the blackjack tables and slot machines in the Vegas-style Casino Royale, or head out for late-night dancing at Vortex Nightclub.

Day 2: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Your Arabian adventure begins in Dubai, the world's fastest-growing global city with a vibrancy and a majesty all of its own. You’ll find all kinds of wonderful modern attractions here, including, at 2,722 feet, the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, plus cutting-edge bars and nightclubs, a man made island in the shape of a giant palm tree, and unparalleled shopping opportunities.
Day 3: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
In the space of a generation Abu Dhabi has managed to transform herself from small fishing village into the thriving metropolis of today. A dramatic skyline of modern skyscrapers and exquisite hotels provides a contrast with the mosques and bazaars of old that can still be found here. Take a ride out to Ferrari World, the world’s largest indoor theme park providing thrills and fun for all the family, or why not take a Jeep Safari through the sand dunes surrounding the city.
Day 4: Sir Bani Yas, United Arab Emirates
On Sir Bani Yas, just like on the islands of Dalma and the six nearby Discovery Islands, an enormous nature reserve has been designated to species in danger of extinction, be they from the Arabic peninsula or from Africa. In particular, on Sir Bani Yas you will be able to observe rare animals inside a protected area where the great majority of the animals, including giraffes, flamingos and cheetahs to name just a few, live freely.
Day 6: Muscat, Oman
Muscat, unlike a lot of her Arabian cousins, has managed to retain a scene of authenticity to the old ways. Where her more notable cousins have arrived into the 21st century with a skyline dominated by skyscrapers, shopping malls and hotels, Muscat has retained a lot more of her traditions and values of old. It is this aspect that allows her to captivate guests time and time again. Sail into the preserved historical waterfront and experience the traditional architecture of this calming seascape, hike through the terracotta coloured mountains or even visit the old town and discover the traditional souk and spice markets.
