Dining on Black Watch is an experience to be savoured. The Glentanar Restaurant is the ship's main venue featuring fresh meals, exquisite cuisines and spectacular sea views. There's also The Orchid Room, which offers a Far East decor and delicious gourmet dishes. For a more casual setting, The Garden Cafe serves an internationally-inspired buffet and tasty lunchtime snacks. Try The Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Here, you have a tempting choice of omelette, shrimp salad, beef and onion pie, beefburger, BLT, fruit salad, and blueberry cheesecake during the day. Or for dinner, there's pasta, grilled seafood, prime-cut steak, and pannacotta. Spread across seven hills on the shores of River Tagus is Portugal's capital city, Lisbon. Pavement cafes, bustling squares and serene gardens sit alongside palaces, bridges and castles in this waterside city. Immerse yourself in culture at Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and National Museum of Contemporary Art, or enjoy the colourful marine life at Oceanarium. Take a vintage tram ride through the city's cobbled streets, admiring Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower on the way. Haggle for bargains at the lively Thieves Market, or explore designer shops on Rua do Carmo, Rua Garrett and Avenida da Liberdade. Venture further afield and discover the fairytale places and ornate villas in Sintra or go dolphin-watching in Setúbal.
Day 6: Portimao, Portugal
The Port of Portimao is situated on the southern coast of Portugal, through the river mouth of the Arade River. The long strip of bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants along the promenade offer a selection of cuisines in a variety of themes. Heading inland, you’ll find plenty of shopping streets and a series of historic buildings. 3km to the south of Portimao city lies Praia da Rocha; a modern town packed with the facilities you’d expect from a beachside resort. The Port of Portimao is also just 20km away from nearby town Lagos. Learn about the history of the region with its charming buildings and peaceful ambience. Also situated in Lagos is the Praia do Anna, a small cove regarded as one of the most scenic beaches in the world.
Day 7: Leixoes (for Oporto), Portugal
Port of Leixões is the main harbour serving the city of Porto in northern Portugal. Famous for being associated with the shipping of port wine, it's also a great starting point for on-shore excursions. The small city of Leixões is home to a sandy beach, old fortifications, and several bars and restaurants scattered around its port area. The historic centre of nearby Porto is an UNESCO World Heritage site and home to an 18th-century cathedral and a 19th-century palace. Enjoy tours and tastings at local vineyards or stroll around Porto's Ribeira Square, found along the Douro River, to find charming cafes and restaurants.
