Overview Itinerary
The Ship
A cruise with Cunard evokes a long maritime history and an imitable reputation that provides you with an unmissable voyage. Queen Mary 2 is the flagship of Cunard's fleet. Her impeccable service, elegant staterooms and traditional yet contemporary environment set the standard in the world of cruising. Cunard's renowned White Star Service means that you receive the best in hospitality alongside plenty of space, high-quality décor and modern facilities to make each journey enjoyable. White-gloved waiters serve fresh scones, finger sandwiches and premium refreshments for afternoon tea in the Queens Room, and you can enjoy fine dining every evening at the ship's range of world-class restaurants. Experience virtual rides into outer space at the ship's full-scale planetarium, watch West End style shows at Royal Court Theatre, and enjoy dancing and cocktail evenings at the large and elegant ballroom. Relax in luxury on Queen Mary 2 and let Cunard take care of you.

Britannia Restaurant provides an exquisite gourmet menu and impeccable level of service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The neighbouring Britannia Club Restaurant is just as grand, but offers a more intimate dining experience. Menus here include salmon and shrimp ceviche, spaghetti carbonera, broiled lobster tail, and mango and passionfruit crème brûlée. Queens Grill Restaurant — reserved for guests staying in a Queens Grill Suite — features an incredibly personal service and dining times of your choice. Dine at Princess Grill Restaurant for dishes such as pan-roasted halibut, duck a l'orange and lobster with a selection of fine wines. Kings Court Restaurant features self-service meals and convenient late-night buffets, while The Verandah serves contemporary French cuisine created from seasonal ingredients. Enjoy afternoon tea at Queens Room, handmade pastries and champagne at Carinthia Lounge, and coffee and cake at Sir Samuel's.

Queen Mary 2 has a venue to suit quiet after-dinner cocktails, refreshing afternoon teas and celebratory glasses of champagne. Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar is a highlight for any voyage on Queen Mary 2 that offers guests seven diverse champagnes accompanied by luxury caviar. Overlooking the bow of the ship is Commodore Club where you can relax with your favourite tipple watching the sunsets. The extensive menu here includes: run cocktails, classic gins, signature martinis, premium vodkas, and exclusive daiquiris. Why not try the Martini Mixology or Whisky Tasting classes on offer here, too? Head to the Golden Lion Pub for a traditional English atmosphere. On offer here you have ales, lagers, ciders, spirits, wines, darts, karaoke, live sports, and classic pub lunches including cottage pie and fish and chips.

While at sea, you can enjoy fitness classes, swimming, golfing, shuffleboard, and tennis. Make the most of the workshops available from the Insights Programme which features world-renowned guest speakers and RADA stage performers. Children can attend the kids' clubs while you relax with a massage, facial or sauna at Canyon Ranch SpaClub. Admire outer space at the planetarium, read at the library, and shop at a range of luxury boutiques on board, too. Evenings bring live music across the ship — including a pianist in Commodore Club, a jazz band in Chart Room and a string quartet in Queens Room. The Queens Room also has a large dance floor featuring professional dance lessons. End your day at G32 nightclub — with themed music from the 60s, 70s and 80s — or try something more relaxing with a show at Royal Court Theatre or game of poker at the casino.
Day 1: Singapore, Malaysia
Fly from your selected UK airport to Singapore where you will board Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and sail onwards to Port Klang.
Day 2: Port Klang, Malaysia
The largest port in Malaysia, Port Klang serves the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia has both a large Muslim and Buddhist population; and a visit to the FGS Dong Zen Monastery provides a tranquil look into a Buddhist monk's life. Head to Bagan Hailam, where restaurants line the roads and are built on stilts over water. Here, taste the fresh seafood which the area is famous for. If you visit in early May, you may catch sight of the Chitra Pournami Hindu Festival which celebrates the Chitragupta, a Hindu deity. If you're looking for a glimpse of local life; take a ferry over to the mangrove-covered island of Pulau Ketam, otherwise known as Crab Island. This island has an entire village built on stilts and a visit will reward you with awe-inspiring sights.
Day 3: Penang, Malaysia
Penang is located alongside the Strait of Malacca on the north-western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Comprising two parts - Penang Island with its capital George Town and Seberang Perai on the Malay Peninsula. Ride a trishaw around the bustling streets and discover authentic local cuisine at the China House shophouses in Road Town. Travel on the cable car up Penang Hill or climb the 500 steps to Waterfall Hilltop Temple for stunning views. Explore the tropical oasis of herbs and spices at the Tropical Spice Garden or admire the winged beauties at the Butterfly Farm. While away a few hours at Batu Ferringhi beach or enjoy outdoor activities at ESCAPE theme park. Say a prayer at the Street of Harmony or gaze in awe at Wat Chayamangkalaram - Asia's largest reclining Buddha.
Day 4: Langkawi, Malaysia
Langkawi is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, just 30km off the north-western shore of Malaysia. Ride the SkyCab to the summit of Mount Mat Cincang before taking the mountain walk to the SkyBridge for awesome views. Pay a visit to the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls and the Beach of Black Sand. Take a boat trip to Tasik Dayang Bunting Lake and the Gua Cerita and Gua Langsir caves. Go snorkelling amongst colourful fish and coral at Pulau Payar Marine Park; enjoy a mangrove tour at Kilim Geopark; or encounter 5000 marine species at Underwater World Langkawi.
Day 5-6: At Sea
Day 7: Chennai, India
Step ashore today at the vibrant port city of Chennai - formerly known as Madras - on India's Bay of Bengal. No visit here would be complete without experiencing Fort St George; built in 1644 and now home to a museum charting the city's origins as a British military garrison and East India Company trading post. The 17th-century St Mary's Anglican Church, the Government Museum at the Pantheon Complex, and Kapaleeshwarar Temple with its carved and painted gods are well worth a visit too. Escape to the tranquil, vehicle-free grounds of the Theosophical Society and admire its church, Buddhist shrine, Zoroastrian temple, mosque, Hindu temple, and 450-year old banyan tree. Alternatively, enjoy water-based fun at Dash 'N' Splash water park or view alligators in their natural habitat at Crocodile Bank.
Day 8-9: At Sea
Day 10: Cochin, India
Cochin, also known as Kochi, is situated in India’s south west coastal state of Kerala. The city is a mix of cultures and influences: you will find giant fishing nets, ancient mosques, Portuguese style homes, and the crumbling remains of the British Raj. Visit Kerala Kathakali Centre to experience traditional masked Kathakali dance shows or pay homage to the mother goddess, Shakti Devi, at the famous Chottanikkara Devi Temple. Explore the beautiful lake of Vembavad, where you’ll find a stunning mix of tropical vegetation and traditional rural life.
Day 11-13: At Sea
Day 14: Abu Dhabi, UAE
In the space of a generation Abu Dhabi has managed to transform herself from small fishing village into the thriving metropolis of today. A dramatic skyline of modern skyscrapers and exquisite hotels provides a contrast with the mosques and bazaars of old that can still be found here. Take a ride out to Ferrari World, the world’s largest indoor theme park providing thrills and fun for all the family, or why not take a Jeep Safari through the sand dunes surrounding the city.
