You can also enjoy a traditional afternoon tea featuring finger sandwiches, cakes, clotted cream, jam, and tea or coffee.
Waterside is Ventura's informal, self-service restaurant which offers a range of foods from across the world, as well as a late-night bar serving sandwiches, paninis, cakes, biscuits, and pastries. The Epicurean creates classic British favourites — such as Shepherd's Pie, glazed lamb, poached lobster, and apple crumble — while Sindhu serves fine Indian cuisine. The Glass House is the place to go for tapas, steaks and burgers, or try The Beach House for Cuban pulled pork and American baby-back ribs. Tazzine is ideal for coffee and light lunches. You also have a poolside grill, pizzeria and ice cream bar.
On Ventura, you have plenty of places to enjoy a drink, including The Red Bar which offers cocktails, champagne and relaxing piano music. The Exchange is the ship's urban bar featuring beer, quizzes and live bands; while Metropolis is your stylish venue with floor-to-ceiling video wall and live jazz music. Day 3: La Coruna, Spain
La Coruña overlooks the Bay of Coruña in the north-west corner of Spain. Step ashore and visit the Tower of Hercules, Castillo de San Anton, and Castillo de San Diego. Explore the Roman wall, historical buildings and the medieval Church of Santiago in Ciudad Vieja. Get a culture hit at the Museum of Sacred Art, Archaeological Museum and Military Museum. People-watch at La Marina and Plaza Maria Pita, or relax on the Playa Riazor and Playa del Orzan beaches. Enjoy some family fun at Aquarium Finisterrae, Science Museum and Domus — an interactive museum. Venture further afield to visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Santiago de Compostela, Betanzos and Ferrol.
Day 4: Bilbao, Spain
Discover the cosmopolitan Basque city and lively port of Bilbao. Surrounded by verdant green mountains, this city in northern Spain is home to the breathtaking modern and contemporary art at the Guggenheim Museum. Sample authentic tapas dishes in the family-run restaurants that line Casco Viejo, Bilbao's vibrant old quarter, and shop for handmade souvenirs at quirky independent boutiques. The modern transport links provide easy access to the two other capitals of the Basque Country — Vitoria and San Sebastián.
Day 5: La Rochelle, France
La Rochelle is a coastal city in southwestern France and is often known as La Ville Blanche ‘the White City’ and the stunning city’s luminous limestone facades glow in the bright coastal sunlight. Discover the 600 different species at Aquarium La Rochelle or climb up the spectacular 158 spiral steps of Tour de la Lanterne to savour panoramic views of the city. Journey back in time and visit the Musée Maritime, highlights include the trio of retied boats moored there. Savour delicious sea food at the waterfront seafood café, Andre.
Day 7: Cherbourg, France
Dock at Cherbourg, on France's Normandy coast. Take a walk around the medieval harbour of Barfleur and the nearby Gatteville lighthouse. Visit the largest nuclear submarine open to the public and the Titanic exhibition at Cite de la Mer. Explore the town's World War II history at Museum of the Order of the Liberation. Admire the colourful flora and fauna at Parc Emmanuel Liais, make a pilgrimage to nearby UNESCO World Heritage site of Mont-St-Michel or visit the Contentin D-Day Landing Beaches.
Day 8: Southampton, UK
The cruise comes to an end in Southampton, where you disembark and make your way home.
