Overview Itinerary
The Ship
MSC Fantasia joined the MSC Cruises' fleet in December 2008. This state-of-the-art ship combines a cosmopolitan atmosphere with chic designer styling across her 13 passenger decks, with a real stone piazza - complete with espresso bar - a unique centrepiece. Discover six restaurants and eleven bars and lounges and innovative features such as the Aqua Park Pool Complex, Formula 1 simulator, 4D cinema, and the Top 18 sun deck. Relax by the pool with a signature cocktail in the sunshine. Escape to the MSC Aurea Spa for a hot-stone massage or a workout in the Fitness Centre. People-watch with a cappuccino at Piazza San Giorgio before surfing the Web at the Cyberlibrary. Tots to teens will have hours of fun at the age-specific clubs, children's pool, and Virtual World. Show off your driving skills at the F1 Simulator or watch your favourite adventure films come to life in the 4D cinema.

There are casual and speciality dining experiences to savour on MSC Fantasia. Take your seat for the finest Mediterranean cuisine served to your table in the Il Cerchio d'Oro or Red Velvet restaurants. The L'Africana and Zanzibar Buffets offer delicious international dishes at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Indulge in Mexican favourites such as spicy burritos and fajitas at Sombrero Tex Mex. La Cantina Toscana serves Italian cheese and meat platters and a long list of fine wines. Enjoy a romantic meal for two with a French twist at L'Etoile.

MSC Fantasia has a wide range of bars and lounges to suit your every mood. Relax with freshly-brewed speciality coffees in Il Cappuccino Coffee Bar. Savour al fresco mocktails in Bar delle Fontane. Enjoy an ice-cold glass of wine as you watch the world go by in Piazza San Giorgio. Unwind with a vodka and tonic in Fantasia Bar or chat with friends over pre-dinner cocktails in Le Vele Bar. Kickback with a cigar and glass of whisky in the ship’s smoking area, The Cigar Lounge. Sip martinis in the vibrant setting of Manhattan Bar. The One Bar and Top Sail Lounge are reserved exclusively for the use of Yacht Club guests.

Evenings aboard MSC Fantasia match your every mood. Discover Broadway-style shows, live music, dancing, and acrobats on stage at Teatro l'Avanguardia. Enjoy piano music in Il Transatlantico Piano Bar or L'Insolito Lounge. There is also late-night dancing at the Liquid Disco and the chance to play the slot machines and blackjack tables at Casino delle Palme.
Day 1: UK to Palma, Majorca
Fly from your chosen UK airport to Palma and take a coach transfer to the port. You will board the MSC Fantasia for your 7-night journey around the Mediterranean.
Day 2: Ibiza, Spain
Ibiza is part of Spain's Balearic Islands. Famous for its lively nightlife, this popular island also features plenty of landmarks and activities to enjoy. Walk the perimeter of Dalt Vila's Renaissance ramparts and see the 18th-century Sant Carles church. You can stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage site of the old town district and stop for a beer or coffee at one of the welcoming cafes and tapas bars. Sail to Es Vedra — a tall limestone island that is famous for being a site of myths and legends. Ibiza Town and San Antonio Bay have a huge selection of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues open both day and night. Enjoy paella, lobster and steaks at a waterfront restaurant, before an evening of wines, cocktails and live music.
Day 3: At Sea
Day 4: Naples (for Sorrento), Italy
This stunning coastal town of Sorrento is situated in south-western Italy and faces the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula. Perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, it’s known for sweeping water views, buzzing bars, and delicious pizzas. Explore the narrow alleys of Piazza Tasso and gaze in awe at the 14th-century Chiesa di San Francesco or revel in the rich history at Museo Correale. Walk along the sandy stretch at Marina Grande harbour or visit the stunning natural phenomenon Vallone dei Mulini.
Day 5: Livorno (for Florence and Pisa), Italy
Livorno — Tuscany's second-largest city — is home to one of Italy's largest cruise ports. The city's main Terrazza Mascagni square with its grand pavement and seafront promenade is a common meeting place for locals looking to relax. The 16th-century Old Fortress faces the harbour and sits at the entrance to the canal-lined Venezia district. Enjoy gourmet dishes and sample local seafood, which is said to be the best on the Tyrrhenian Coast. Head to Central Piazza Cavour or the car-free Via Ricasoli for shopping, try Via Magenta and pick up some quirky souvenirs, or stop by Via dei Pensieri's street market for a great selection of food, clothing, accessories, and homewares. If you're looking to travel further afield, Pisa is just a short drive away.
Day 6: Genoa, Italy
Step ashore today at the lively Italian port of Genoa. Stroll around the old town district and uncover Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, Palazzo Ducale, Piazza de Ferrari, and the Renaissance palaces on Via Garibaldi. Ride the Il Bigo elevator at the Old Harbour to enjoy panoramic views of the area. Visit Acquario de Genova for close-up views of colourful marine life or explore the city's maritime heritage at Galata Maritime Museum. Santa Margherita Ligure and the stylish resort of Portofino are just waiting to be discovered further along the coast.
Day 7: Marseille (for Provence), Italy
Your stepping stone to the fields of lavender of Provence and charming villages like Cassis or Les Baux. Drop into one of the restaurants around the colourful Vieux Port (old harbour) and order Bouillabaisse, the hearty fish stew invented here.
