Overview Itinerary
The Ship
From the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, Norwegian Spirit offers style and entertainment as you sail around the world. Spend sunny days in Tivoli Pool and its nearby hot tubs while the kids enjoy the paddling pool and water slides at Buccaneer's Wet & Wild park. From Las Vegas style shows at Stardust Theatre, to poker games and slot machines at Maharajah's Casino, evenings come to life with great entertainment for everyone, too. You can try up to 14 dining venues, as well as 12 bars and lounges, while at sea. Dine on Asian, French and Italian cuisines; enjoy variety at the buffet; or savour traditional fish and chips from Henry's Pub. With teen discos, kids' clubs, spa treatments, and spacious staterooms, Norwegian Spirit is the ideal way for families and couples to cruise in comfort.

Food
Enjoy a range of cafes and restaurants on Norwegian Spirit. Raffles Court & Terrace offers buffets of dishes including omelettes, waffles, fruit, soups, and pastas with outdoor seating available, while Blue Lagoon Cafe is your 24-hour food court serving everything from burgers to noodles. For classic, cruise-style dining, there are Windows and The Garden Room restaurants offering a sophisticated atmosphere and delicious courses. Visit Bier Garten Grill for bratwurst and sauerkraut; La Trattoria for pizza and pasta; and Le Bistro French Restaurant for modern and classic gourmet cuisine with fine wine. Cagney's Steakhouse serves T-bones, prime ribs, cocktails, crab cakes and truffle fries, while Shogun Asian Restaurant offers a diverse menu of Thai, Chinese and Japanese specialities. Watch chefs chop, slice and grill your steak, chicken and seafood at the Japanese hibachi restaurant, Teppanyaki, as you enjoy the restaurant's signature Wasabi Cocktail. You also have a cafe in the lobby, which serves coffees and pastries, as well as the delicious Sushi & Sashimi Bar and 24-hour room service.

Drink
You can enjoy great atmospheres and a range of drinks aboard Norwegian Spirit. Head to Raffles Terrace Bar for outdoor seating areas or Galaxy of the Stars Observation Lounge for stunning views and a full bar of drinks and appetisers. Henry's Pub is the ideal spot to socialise in a traditional English pub setting — there's even a dartboard, large TV screens, fish and chips on the menu, and real ale on tap! Throughout the day, you have The Cafe in the ship's lobby, which serves coffees and pastries, or you can visit Bier Garten for an outdoor bar serving snacks and premium beers. Shanghai Bar is a sports venue with an Asian twist that offers premium beers and tasty pub snacks to enjoy as you watch live games on the big TV screens. In the evening, you have the choice of Maharajah's Casino Bar, the Bollywood-style Maharini's Lounge & Nightclub, and the sophisticated Charlie's Champagne Bar - where you can enjoy champagne, caviar and foie gras.

Entertainment
There's plenty to keep everyone entertained on Norwegian Spirit. Spend days relaxing on a lounger beside Tivoli Pool or unwinding in any of its four hot tubs. You can enjoy a pampering session and treatment at Oscar's Hair & Beauty Salon and Roman Spa & Fitness Centre, or have a game at the golf nets and basketball court. Spend time at the card room, library, Internet cafe, jogging track, and duty-free shops, while the kids have fun with their own activities. Buccaneer's Wet & Wild features a paddling pool, hot tub and water slides, while Celebrity Teen Disco offers a jukebox, table football and air hockey. There's also Charlie's Child Care Centre — with a cinema, nursery, and arts and crafts sessions — as well as a video arcade. In the evening the whole family can enjoy the Broadway and Las Vegas style shows in Stardust Theatre. Adults can also head to the stylish Maharajah's Casino and have a go at blackjack, roulette, craps, poker, and slot machines.
Day 1: Southampton, UK
Arrive at Southampton and board Norwegian Spirit for your 12 night journey around Norway and the Arctic.
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Stavanger, Norway
Arrive at the port of Stavanger - gateway to the majestic Lysefjord. Meander through the cobbled streets lined with white-washed wooden houses and see artists at work in the old quarter. Visit the 12th-century Stavanger Cathedral and marvel at its vaulted ceiling and 13th-century Gothic chancel. Stop by the Norwegian Canning Museum to appreciate the town's heritage as the 'herring capital' of Norway.
Day 4: Trondheim, Norway
Today gives you another opportunity to explore the city of Trondheim. The city walk through Trondheim is a journey through its 1000-year history. Back on board, the ship heads out of the majestic Trondheimsfjord, which is 170 kilometres long and up to 25 kilometres wide. Like all other Norwegian fjords it is deep, 577 metres at most. As we sail along the coast you’ll realise the importance of fish to Norwegian coastal communities. Kristiansund’s location has provided the town with a wealth of opportunities in the fishing, shipbuilding and oil industries. This town is now regarded as Norway’s ‘cured cod capital’ because of its long time export of salted dry fish. Here you can join a trip to the Atlantic Road, one of Norway’s most visited tourist destinations. As we cross the open sea to Molde, known as the ‘city of roses’, you will notice the steep, grey, pointed peaks of the Romsdal Alps.
Day 5: Cruise Svartisen Glacier (At Sea)
Day 6: Hammerfest, Norway
The town of Hammerfest is located on the north-western coast of the island of Kvaloya in Norway’s Finnmark County. The world's northernmost town; Hammerfest boasts an ice-free harbour and is home to the impressive Hammerfest Church. Learn about the life of the local polar bears at Royal and Ancient Polar Bear Society or explore local history after WWII at Museum of Reconstruction and the UNESCO-listed Meridian Column. Get active with a zigzag walk up Salen Hill to admire town-wide views and beyond. No visit here would be complete without sampling authentic Sami food, fresh sushi, or traditional Norwegian seafood.
Day 7: Honningsvag, Norway
Honningsvag is your gateway to Norway's North Cape on Magerøya Island. This is the northernmost point in Europe, and the true land of the midnight sun. From mid-May to July, the full disc of the sun never dips below the horizon. In winter, the days barely lighten to a spectral gloom. To the north lies only the remote Svalbard Archipelago, Jan Mayan Island, and the polar ice cap. From the cliffs of North Cape, perched 1,000 feet above the Arctic Ocean, one stares into the arctic silence. During the summer months, vast reindeer herds roam Magerøya Island's treeless, central plateau.
Day 8: At Sea
Day 9: Geiranger, Norway
The ship then drops anchor at Geiranger on the shores of UNESCO World Heritage site, Geirangerfjord. Stroll into the village to view the church and sample reindeer and brown goat’s cheese in a local eatery. Enjoy a boat trip along the fjord for close up views of the famous Seven Sisters and Suitor waterfalls. Venture further afield to explore local farm life at the interactive Norwegian Fjord Centre or take a trip up to the scenic viewpoints at Dalsnibba or Eagle's Bend.
Day 10: Flam, Norway
Flam is a tiny village on the banks of Aurlandsfjord, and is set in beautiful surroundings. Visit the local church, one of the oldest in Norway, and enjoy the traditionally decorated walls. Cruise through the Naeroyfjord, a narrow but spectacular fjord surrounded by steep valleys and snow-covered peaks; Naeroyfjord has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005. Along the way you'll see Gudvangen, an old Viking village, which will take your breath away with its dramatic and stunning scenery.
Day 11: Haugesund, Norway
Discover the city of Haguesund, at the point where the fjords flow into the North Sea in the southwest of Norway. Haugesund is famed as 'Norway's Birthplace' and also boasts a proud Viking heritage, brought to life at Avaldsnes' Nordvegen History Centre on the nearby island of Karmoy. This vibrant city also hosts a few cultural and musical festivals throughout the year, the most famous being the Norwegian International Film Festival and Sildajazz Festival. Akrafjord and the Langfoss Waterfall are also within easy reach — nominated one of the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world by CNN.
