Travel from the UK to Amsterdam by coach where you will embark on board MS Arena
Day 2: Amsterdam, Netherlands > Hoorn, Netherlands > Den Helder, Netherlands
This morning you sail onwards to reach the atmospheric city of Hoorn and will drop the anchor about lunchtime. You have plenty of free time today to explore this charming little city brimming with history and fascinating architecture. If you prefer, join in with an optional excursion to visit the Medemblik Bakery, a quaint two-story museum where you'll be able to see how traditional Dutch specialities are made, including the almond paste cookie 'gevulde koek'. Return to the ship for a relaxing dinner on board and sail overnight to Den Helder.
Day 3: Den Helder, Netherlands > Harlingen, Netherlands > Lelystad, Netherlands
Arrive in the unique town of Den Helder this morning, situated at the northernmost tip of the province of North Holland. This little town has a lot to offer, including beautiful nature reserves and the country's naval base and museum. Spend free time this morning to discover all that this historic town boasts. Return to the ship for lunch before you continue on to the city of Harlingen to discover its many sights and attractions. There are over 600 monuments which outline this harbour city, and part of the original defences can still be seen in the original canals and old warehouses. Relax on board this evening as you sail overnight towards Lelystad.
Day 4: Lelystad, Netherlands > Amsterdam, Netherlands
Glide into the lively little port of Lelystad this morning to enjoy an included excursion to Keukenhof Gardens. Spend time here to check out the 32-hectare site and take in the swathes of flowers, themed pavilions, and the wonderful atmosphere that surrounds this world-famous event. Rejoin your ship in Amsterdam where you'll have the chance to experience the true beauty of this city on an optional canal cruise, which will take you around 17th-century buildings and picturesque bridges. Enjoy cheese and wine to round off your visit here.
Day 5: Amsterdam – UK
Disembark in Amsterdam for your return journey back to the UK via coach.
