Day 2 - 3: Venice, Italy
Explore beautiful Venice on Italy's north-east coast. This city built on water is a popular tourist destination due to its gondola rides, delicious cuisine and stunning Gothic architecture. A maze of winding canals, you can sail up the Grand Canal to visit the stunning Palazzo Ducale and Basilica di San Marco. See works of arts from Bellini and Titian at Gallerie dell Accademia, then head to Scuola Grande di San Rocco to see the intricate and captivating way Tintoretto depicts Old and New Testament scenes. Many canal-side bars host live music that you can enjoy as you dine on fresh seafood dishes and prosecco. Make sure to try Venetian cicheti — similar to tapas — which include dishes such as soft salami and smoked swordfish.
Day 4: Venice, Italy (Embarkation Day)
After check out make your way to the cruise port where you will embark on board MSC Sinfonia.
Day 5: Split, Croatia
Split, on Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, is the country's second-largest city. It's popular for its golden beaches and bustling centre — which was built around the fourth-century Diocletian's Palace. Today, the palace remains a central part of Split's heritage after its transformation into a variety of houses, flats, churches, and chapels. Stroll through the centre to admire the towering Cathedral of Saint Domnius with its 13th-century oak doors that tell the story of Christ. The Riva waterfront promenade runs the length of the old town and is the perfect place to stop for lunch. See cascading waterfalls at Krka National Park or relax and snorkel on the beach of Brac Island before departing.
Day 7: Santorini, Greece
Curving around a majestic caldera, Santorini is one of the prettiest of the Greek Isles. Hop on the tender boat ashore, where the cable car will whisk you up to the cliff-top village of Thira with its quaint streets filled with restaurants, bars and shops. Pay a visit to the cave houses at the beautiful village of Oia before heading down the steps to Amoudi Bay to feast on fresh seafood. Taste the unique beers at the Donkey Brewery close to the black pebbled sands of Kamari Beach. Explore the island's history at the Akrotiri archaeological site or admire the dramatic coastline by catamaran.
Day 8: Sarande, Albania
Sarande nestles on the Albania Riviera in southern Albania. Spend a few hours soaking up the sunshine on town's main beach or travel south to the golden sands of Mirror Beach. Pay a visit to the semi ruins of Lekuresi Castle - which dates back to early Ottoman times - the bombed remains of Ayii Saranda monastery and the 5th-century synagogue. Admire the 3rd-century mosaic floor at the Museum of Archaeology and the collection of photos at the Ethnological Museum. The port town is also gateway to the ancient city of Burtint - a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to a Greek theatre, paleo-Christian baptistery, basilica and a museum.
Day 9: Dubrovnik, Croatia
The Croatian city of Dubrovnik sits on the country's southern coast on the Adriatic Sea. Explore the city centre — an UNESCO World Heritage site — with its 17th-century Cathedral of the Assumption and Rector's Palace, before walking around the ancient city walls. Admire the views as you ride the cable car to Mt Srd or visit one of the city's museums. Relax in the sunshine on Banje Beach; enjoy a boat trip to the nearby islands of Lokrum and Elafati; and view the city from the water on a kayaking trip or take a snorkelling tour.
Day 10: Ancona, Italy
The port city of Ancona sits on Italy's Adriatic coastline. As capital of the Marche region; Ancona is famous for its stunning beaches and also the hilltop Cattedrale di San Ciriaco. Pay a visit to the ancient Arch of Trajan and the 18th-century Lazzaretto pentagonal quarantine station at opposite sides of the port. Meander through the city centre and admire the bronze masks of mythical figures at Fontana del Calamo or enjoy the pre-historic and Roman artefacts at National Archaeological Museum. Climb up the slopes of Monte Guasco to the ruins of the Roman Amphitheatre or climb the steps to the white marble Passetto Monument overlooking Passetto Beach. People-watch with a coffee at Piazza del Plebiscito or admire the 13th-century Santa Maria della Piazza church on Piazza Santa Maria.
Day 11: Venice, Italy to UK
Today your cruise comes to an end. Disembark and make your way to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
