Overview Itinerary
The Ship
Costa Luminosa sailed into the Costa Cruises family in June 2009. This ship really lives up to its name as it is filled with light to complement its bright and modern decor. Costa Luminosa combines the relaxed Italian-style atmosphere and elegant surroundings that are trademarks of the Costa Cruises fleet with contemporary features and over 5000 prints and original works of art. The twelve decks showcase 1130 chic cabins and suites, four restaurants and 11 bars, three pools - one with a retractable cover - and four Jacuzzis, the two deck-high Samsara Spa, 4D cinema and Grand Prix Simulator, and a vibrant daytime and evening entertainment scene. On top of this, the ship drops anchor in some amazing ports of call, opening up abundant sightseeing and activity options ashore.

The dining experiences onboard Costa Luminosa bring together a world of flavours and styles. Taurus restaurant is the ship's main dining room, where you'll discover a wall of windows, two sittings and fixed seating for dinner, and a host of culinary delights served to your table. Casual-style serve-yourself dining is available throughout the daytime in Buffet Andromeda restaurant with omelette, pizza, and pasta stations adding to your tasty options. You can also tuck into authentic Italian pizzas from the open-air Pizzeria. Alternatively, reserve a table at the a la carte Club Luminosa for exquisite steaks and seafood or choose light and healthy options from the menu in Samsara Restaurant.

Savour traditional coffees and chocolate-based delights in Sirius Cafè. Lido Delphinus and Lido Dorado pool bars ensure you don't have to wander too far for liquid refreshment by the water's edge. The sports-themed Scuderia Costa Bar is next to the Grand Prix simulator and serves a selection of ice-cold drinks. Grand Bar Elettra comes with a dance floor, bar and stage and hosts activities, fashion shows, quizzes, and dancing. Sip cocktails as you enjoy piano music and live entertainment at Antares Piano Bar or spend your winnings on a glass of bubbly at Vega Bar alongside the casino. Enjoy vintage cognacs and cigars in the elegant surrounds of Rigel Cigar Lounge. Virgo and Libra Lounges are both perfect for after-dinner cocktails and karaoke.

Day or night, there's plenty to entertain you on Costa Luminosa. During the daytime, unwind with a full-body massage at Samsara Spa or soak up the sun on deck. Try your hand at on board skating at the Skorpion Quadline roller track or improve your swing at the virtual golf centre. Discover fun times for tots to teens in the Squok Club, splash pool, and at the Grand Prix simulator. After dinner, the three-deck high Phoenix Theatre presents an eclectic line-up of live music, shows, slapstick comedy, and musical extravaganzas. Enjoy the latest film shows on screen at the 4D cinema or under the main pool's magrodome. Take a chance with Lady Luck at the slot machines and gaming tables of Casino Vega. Bring your day to a close in style with dancing until the small hours in the Altaire Disco.
