The Ship
New for 2017, the remarkable Columbus ship becomes the flagship for Cruise & Maritime Voyages' impressive fleet. She has been purpose built for deep-sea ocean cruising, taking you to some of the world's most beautiful destinations, whilst still providing the traditional cruise style that Cruise & Maritime is famous for. She offers a luxurious stay on board with a total of 775 passenger cabins including 64 deluxe balcony cabins, exquisite junior suites to suit larger groups and families, and 150 comfortable cabins reserved solely for the solo traveller. Named after the explorer, Columbus boasts world-class elegance, impressive style, high-end service, and delicious culinary delights. Be entertained in the dazzling three-decked central atrium area with the Dome Observatory providing stunning seascapes and scenic panoramas, and the tiered Palladium Show Lounge where the talented Columbus show team perform. Five dining venues are scattered across the twelve passenger decks with three fine dining restaurants and two speciality coffee shops. Relax on the top deck by the two heated swimming pools and savour light bites from the Alfresco Grill. Set sail on magnificent Columbus and experience the friendly, attentive and personal service of a smaller, more intimate ship alongside the impressive on board facilities, tempting dining venues, and exciting entertainment of a larger cruise ship.

Food
A wide choice of dining options are available on board Columbus. Choose the Waterfront Restaurant for a hearty full English breakfast as well as tasty lunches and delicious five-course gala dinners. Visit both the Grill and Fusion speciality restaurants and treat yourself to gourmet cuisine, or book a table at the exclusive Chef's Table for an exquisite dining experience. Enjoy the warm weather on deck at the Alfresco Grill or enjoy casual dining at the versatile Plantation Bistro for a lavish buffet with international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Drink
On board Columbus, guests can enjoy a varied menu of refreshments day and night. The ship features eight distinct lounge bars and two welcoming deck bars including Raffles, Connexions, The Oval Pool Bar, and the British-themed Taverners Pub & Casino. Club Oasis Bar is perfect for enjoying a cocktail in the sun, while Captain's Club is an ideal venue to sip an after-dinner drink. You also have two speciality coffee and tea shops serving hot drinks and snacks.

Entertainment
Columbus offers plenty to keep guests entertained regardless of time or taste. Enjoy whirlpools, two heated swimming pools, a modern gym, and an arts and crafts studio throughout the day. Sit back and watch popular films and sporting events on the large outdoor screen, or head to Trumps & Aces for a game of cards with friends. There's a selection of shops to visit at the Central Atrium, as well as a peaceful library at Columbus Lounge. You can truly unwind at Columbus' professional wellness centre, which offers massages, beauty treatments and hairstyling. There are six on-board entertainment venues including Dome Observatory & Nightclub and the stylish three-decked Atrium. Head to the two-decked, tiered Palladium Show Lounge for an entertaining night featuring live music, performances and dancing from Columbus' professional show team and guest acts. See the city's oldest harbour, Oude Haven, before taking a look at the 'glass palace' of Van Nelle Fabriek — an UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the ever-changing exhibitions at the Kunsthal and the expansive collection of Dutch and European art at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. Ride to the top of Euromast observation tower for 360-degree city-wide views, stop by Miniworld Rotterdam to view the city in miniature, or pop into the Kubuswoningen cube house and museum.
Day 3: Antwerp, Belgium
The Belgian port city of Antwerp nestles on the River Scheldt. At the centre of the city, you'll discover the ancient Diamond District which is home to thousands of diamond traders, cutters, and polishers. Admire the Flemish Renaissance architecture as you stroll around the Grote in the Old Town. Pay a visit to the 17th-century Rubenshuis to view artworks by the Flemish Baroque painter, Peter Paul Roberts. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Museum Plantin-Moretus, the impressive MAS complex, and the Gothic-style Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal are well worth visiting too. Get up close to sharks and piranhas at Aquatopia aquarium or visit the animals at Antwerp Zoo.
