Dutch Melody is reserved exclusively for Saga River Cruises' guests; meaning onboard activities and itineraries have been created with you in mind, ensuring you get the very best from your cruising experiences. The friendly crew of 32 are waiting to welcome you aboard this small and friendly ship and you'll soon get to know your 139 fellow passengers. The four passenger decks are lined with stylish guest cabins, a restaurant, lounge and bar/pub, partially-shaded sun deck, library, fitness room with sauna and whirlpool, and a lift. Each cabin is fitted with an individual thermostat, wall safe, direct-dial telephone, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and a television which features a live stream from a camera mounted on the ship’s bow. The Saga Cruise Host is on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly and to offer advice and help as necessary. Most mornings Dutch Melody will dock at a thrilling port of call where you can join an organised excursion or explore independently at your own pace. The restaurant opens for semi-buffet-style meals at breakfast and lunch, with dinner a more formal affair. A full English breakfast will fuel a day of explorations each morning, while lunch is a leisurely three-courses and dinner comprises four courses of local, regional, and internationally-inspired dishes. Special themed dinners and late-night snacks in the lounge add to your choices. The lounge is the social hub of the ship and hosts nightly live music and also light-hearted quizzes and games some evenings too. The pub/bar offers a wide range of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktails. Complimentary wine, beer, and soft drinks are offered with lunch and dinner, plus complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout the day. Day or night there is plenty to keep you entertained on Dutch Melody. The sun deck's the place to be in good weather and to take in the panoramic riverside vistas. Cantata Deck hosts a fitness room where you can keep in shape and a relaxing sauna and whirlpool. You can also lose yourself in a book in the library or unwind with a coffee in the lounge on Serenade Deck. After dinner the pace aboard Dutch Melody remains just as leisurely. If the ship is berthed, you might like to take a stroll along the river bank or, if you're staying on board, there may be a pianist playing, music to dance to, and occasional shows from local performers.
