Overview
Viking River Cruises' Viking Akun was built in 1990 and refurbished in 2014. Named after Akun, the nephew of Viking ruler Rurik; Viking Akun sets sail along the waterways of Russia with a maximum of 204 guests aboard. This small and state-of-the-art ship combines a relaxed ambiance and elegant styling with all the comforts of a fine hotel. From the Main Deck and Middle Deck to the Upper Deck and Sun Deck; you'll find 102 spacious staterooms and suites, a restaurant, two bars, library, shop, and complimentary Wi-Fi access. The guest accommodation is river-facing with a picture window or veranda, hotel-style bed, laundry service, and 26-inch flat-screen Sony television with CNBC, CNN, BBC, and more. Most mornings the ship drops anchor at a new port of call where you can explore the local culture and sights on escorted excursions or solo explorations.
Food & Drink
Neva Restaurant on Middle Deck boasts panoramic windows and a menu of contemporary dishes and regional specialities. Start the day with a buffet-style breakfast; choose from a selection of light dishes, soups, and salads at lunch-time; before a multi-course destination-focussed dinner in the evening. Quality wine, beer, and soft drinks at lunch and dinner and also tea and coffee are included.
The stylish Panorama Bar is the perfect spot to relax with a freshly-mixed cocktail or a cold glass of wine. Sun Deck's Sky Bar is a great place to socialise with other passengers by day over a drink or two and to enjoy a nightcap under the stars as evening falls. Welcome Cocktails and a Farewell Reception enhance your stay aboard.
Entertainment
Days afloat are all about doing as much or as little as you wish. Visit the Sun Deck for sunbathing or to take in the unfolding views as you sit in the shade. Maybe escape to the calmness of the library to lose yourself in a good book or pick up a gift and daily essentials at the shop. After dinner, the entertainment on Viking Akun is relaxed and low-key with ambient music and occasional live performers.

Not only does the Sun Deck offer a great place to relax on a comfortable lounger, but guests will also find the Sky Bar- an enclose bar with outdoor seating.. the perfect place to take in the 360-degree scenery views.
Kids & Teens
All guests must be 18 years old on or before the day they are scheduled to embark on their cruise; we do not maintain facilities or services on board for younger individuals.
