Day 1: UK to Vancouver, Canada
Fly from your chosen UK airport to Vancouver and be transferred to the port to board NCL Jewel for your eleven night cruise to Hawaii.
Day 7: Kona, Hawaii
The Kona region is a 60-mile stretch which houses everything from coffee farms to Hawaiian landmarks. Experience Kona's history at Hulihee Palace, once a summer holiday home for Hawaiian royalty and today a museum showcasing artefacts. Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park is a natural beauty; explore and discover how an early Hawaiian settlement survived on the Kona coast. South Kona's calm and clear waters are the perfect place to go snorkelling, diving and dolphin spotting. Take a boat tour and scuba-dive off the reefs or go deep sea fishing. Back on land, travel to the upland slopes and sample the Kona coffee which is locally grown.
Day 8: Hilo, Hawaii
Hilo, commonly called the Big Island, is a region blessed with waterfalls, vast rainforests and blooming gardens. Hilo is the gateway to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to Kilauea Volcano, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Take a helicopter tour over this spectacular area and look out for lava flowing from the crater. Visit Akaka Falls State Park and feast your eyes upon the lush vegetation and spectacular waterfalls. Hilo is a vibrant town with interesting museums, art galleries, shops and markets to visit. To experience the connections between local culture and astronomy, visit the Imiloa Astronomy Center.
Day 9: Kahului, Maui
Kahului is a region on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The history of Kahului is closely tied to the sugar industry; visit the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum to learn more about the sugarcane industry in Hawaii. Maui Nui Botanical Gardens display beautiful local plants, while the Maui Arts and Cultural Centre hosts over 1,800 events each year including major music and theatre productions, hula, symphony, ballet, taiko drumming, drama, and children’s art. The Queen Ka'ahumanu Centre is the island's largest shopping mall with over 100 shops and restaurants, including Maui's only department stores - Sears and Macy's.
Day 10 - 11: Nawiliwili, Hawaii
Also known as Kauai, the ‘garden island’ of Nawiliwili is one of the largest and oldest of Hawaii’s eight major islands. The island boasts swathes of sands, tropical rain forests, and rolling mountains. Visit the awe-inspiring Waimea Canyon and gaze at the stunning landscapes that seem to disappear into the distance. Head to the North shore of Kauai and walk along the white sand beaches, trek through the majestic rain forests, or admire the plunging mountain waterfalls. Take a trip back in time and visit the Grove Farm Homestead and explore life in the late 1800s. Nearby, you can also discover the Kilauea lighthouse and savour the lush gardens and coastal landscapes.
Day 12: Honolulu, Hawaii to UK
Today your cruise comes to an end. Disembark and be transferred to the airport for your return flight back to the UK.
