Overview Itinerary
The Ship
The stylish MSC Magnifica — launched in May 2010 — features state-of-the-art facilities, a stunning three-deck atrium with crystal piano, and wood and marble Mediterranean artwork. Dine your way around the world at her five gourmet restaurants and be entertained in her 12 designer-themed bars. Enjoy award-winning spa treatments and play a variety of sports, while kids make friends in the mini clubs. MSC Magnifica's Le Grand Bleu pool is lined with whirlpools, sun loungers and a bar; while the La Grotta Azzura pool features two hot tubs and an upper terrace with a bar. The shopping arcade offers perfumes and jewellery, or you can escape to the serenity with a Balinese massage. Children have a host of activities to enjoy, as well as a 4D cinema and play areas. Take a run around the jogging track, play golf at the nets, and have a game of tennis before relaxing with a gourmet meal and cocktail in the lounge bar. See the world with MSC Magnifica.

Mediterranean and international delights are served in the two main L'Edera and Quattro Venti Restaurants. Choose the early or late sitting and savour a six-course, daily-changing menu of appetizers, soups, pastas, risottos, and desserts. For casual dining, head to Sahara buffet restaurant and tuck into pizzas, curries, salads, grilled dishes, and desserts. A dedicated kids' area with child-friendly dishes and mini furniture is perfect for family-time dining, too. Speciality dining on MSC Magnifica is an experience not to be missed. The opulent Oriental Plaza Restaurant serves Thai, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, and Indonesian flavours - from authentic dim sum and sushi, to fried rice and noodle dishes. If you prefer to dine in the privacy of your cabin, the room service menu offers a host of hot and cold dishes, or you can even order pizza for delivery.

MSC Magnifica has a host of places to relax with a drink. Relax with your morning espresso or frothy cappuccino in Topazio Bar. Il Bar de Sole, La Conchiglia and La Barchetta are the perfect spots to enjoy al fresco drinks. Authentic sporting memorabilia sets the scene for chilled beers in L'Olimpiade Sporting Bar. Sip pre-dinner drinks and late-night cocktails in the stylish Ruby and Sequoia Bars. The impressive Tiger Bar is the largest bar on board, while The Cuba Lounge serves the finest cognacs and Cuban cigars in relaxed surroundings.

During the day, you can swim and sunbathe at the ship's two pools, or enjoy the gym, spa, hot tubs, and Turkish bath. MSC Magnifica features a bowling alley, play room, 4D cinema, cyber cafe, library, card room, and a variety of shops. Bring your day to a close in style with an eclectic mix of entertainment. Royal Theatre hosts everything from bingo and films, to acrobats and musical shows. The main L'Ametista entertainment lounge combines live music and competitions with dancing until late. Chance your arm at the gaming tables and slot machines of Atlantic City Casino. T32 Disco boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and is the perfect spot to take in the views by day and party each night. There's fun and entertainment for everyone on MSC Magnifica.
Day 1: Southampton, UK
Arrive in Southampton and board MSC Magnifica for your seven night cruise.
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Hamburg, Germany
Germany's largest port and second-biggest city is found on the River Elbe in the north of the country. Hamburg has been an integral part of German trade since the Middle Ages and its strong maritime history can be seen throughout its culture, atmosphere and UNESCO-listed architecture today. Stroll through the legendary Fish Market, take a scenic barge tour, or visit one of many museum ships to learn more about Hamburg's seafaring past. Tower over Hamburg Airport and the Alps at the home of the largest model railway in the world — Miniatur Wunderland — or start at the Jungfernstieg in the city centre to find shops, cafes and multicultural restaurants.
Day 4 - 5: Rotterdam, Netherlands
The Dutch maritime city of Rotterdam is your next port of call. See the city's oldest harbour, Oude Haven, before taking a look at the 'glass palace' of Van Nelle Fabriek — an UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the ever-changing exhibitions at the Kunsthal and the expansive collection of Dutch and European art at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. Ride to the top of Euromast observation tower for 360-degree city-wide views, stop by Miniworld Rotterdam to view the city in miniature, or pop into the Kubuswoningen cube house and museum.
Day 6: Zeebrugge (for Bruges), Belgium
This modern port of Zeebrugge features a pretty marina, beach and lively seafront promenade with cafes, hotels and easy access to Brussels — Belgium's vibrant capital city. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Grand Place, the city's central square, and see the 15th-century city hall or relax with a drink in a laid-back cafe. Take a romantic horse and carriage ride along the cobbled streets, passing local markets and winding canals. Known as the chocolate capital of the world — stop by some of the country's oldest and most-famous chocolatiers to sample traditional Belgian chocolate and take away some sweet treats.
Day 7: Le Havre (for Paris), France
A major port in northern France's Normandy region, Le Havre is situated at the mouth of the River Seine. A visit to Le Havre Art Museum with its impressive collections of paintings is a must; perhaps admire the beautiful 'Water Lilies' by Monet? Cathedral Notre-Dame, which has been extensively restored, also offers spectacular sights. Architecture is fascinating in this town; it mainly comprises post-war modern structures, the work of Auguste Perret. The Church of Saint Joseph is a tall building, over 100 metre high, and represents the town’s architecture perfectly. The beach here attracts visitors; the broad promenade is frequently occupied by people soaking up the sunshine. Le Havre is also gateway to the famous sights and attractions of Paris and the Normandy region.
