Overview Itinerary
The Ship
Norwegian Star joined the Norwegian Cruise Line's fleet in 2001 (complete refurbishment in 2015). Freedom is very much the theme on board this ship, from the Freestyle Dining concept in the 15 restaurants, to the impressive variety of family entertainment. Choose a contemporary stateroom or enjoy the ultimate comfort of a butler and concierge service in the exclusive enclave of Garden Villas. After breakfast, spend your day relaxing on the pool deck or unwind in the hot tub. Take a stroll around the jogging track on the top deck, head for a workout in the fitness centre or play volleyball on the sports court. Children can join exciting clubs and activities at T-Rex Kid's Centre, while teenagers can hang out at Teen Club. Sail on Norwegian Star for an unforgettable cruise experience for all the family.

Food
The Versailles and Aqua Dining Rooms are the main restaurants, each offering extensive menus, Chef's signature dishes, and a varied wine list. O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar & Grill boasts a wide choice of re-invented Irish pub food classics with an array of draft beers. Asian fusion cuisine, noodles, wok-fried dishes, and soups are served in the Ginza Asian Resturant, and the poolside Topsliders Bar & Grill offers burgers, pizzas and snacks. A gourmet dining experience is available in the French-style Le Bistro restaurant. La Cucina offers authentic Italian cuisine and Moderno Churrascaria serves traditional Brazilian steaks. Teppanyaki provides an authentic Japanese dining experience and Sushi Bar offers made-to-order sushi and sashimi. Savour American-style meat dishes and at Cagney's Steakhouse and enjoy a sweet treat from Cafe at the Atrium throughout the day.

Drink
From your morning cappuccino to champagne and cocktails at night, the mix of bars and lounges on Norwegian Star offers something for everyone. Savour speciality coffees, teas, cookies, and pastries in Java Cafe, or sip cocktails in the sunshine at Atrium Cafe & Bar, 5 o'clock Somewhere Bar and Topsider Bar. If only champagne will do, the Gatsby's Champagne Bar is a sophisticated spot. Play pool, watch big-screen TV and sip real draft beer in O'Sheehan's. There's also Sugarcane Mojito Bat for traditional cocktails and Sake Bar to enjoy Japan's national drink. Enjoy refreshing cocktails and beer and in a Bavarian-style Bier Garden.

Entertainment
During days at sea, make the most of the ship's boutiques, swimming pool, hot tubs, spa, fitness centre, jogging track, and basketball and volleyball court. There are even clubs and a modern games arcade for kids and teenagers. Evenings on Norwegian Star cater to your every mood and taste. Discover lively production shows on stage — including comedy, music, dancing, and magic shows — in the Stardust Theatre. Spinnaker Lounge offers a full bar service and a dance floor, while White Hot Party on the pool deck is an experience not to be missed! Feeling lucky? Then head to the slot machines and roulette tables in Star Club Casino.
Day 1: UK to Venice, Italy
Fly from selected UK airports to Venice and stay three-nights in a five-star hotel.
Day 2 - 3: Venice, Italy
Explore beautiful Venice on Italy's north-east coast. This city built on water is a popular tourist destination due to its gondola rides, delicious cuisine and stunning Gothic architecture. A maze of winding canals, you can sail up the Grand Canal to visit the stunning Palazzo Ducale and Basilica di San Marco. See works of arts from Bellini and Titian at Gallerie dell Accademia, then head to Scuola Grande di San Rocco to see the intricate and captivating way Tintoretto depicts Old and New Testament scenes. Many canal-side bars host live music that you can enjoy as you dine on fresh seafood dishes and prosecco. Make sure to try Venetian cicheti — similar to tapas — which include dishes such as soft salami and smoked swordfish.
Day 4: Venice, Italy (Embarkation Day)
After check out make your way to the port to board Norwegian Star for you seven-night Greek cruise.
Day 5: Kotor, Montenegro
Kotor is based on the Adriatic coastline in south-west Montenegro. One of the country's prettiest and most-famous towns, Kotor is an UNESCO World Heritage site and offers a range of historic landmarks and natural beauty spots. The old town district is filled with medieval architecture and monuments — as well as one of the narrowest streets in the world! From its Venetian-style gates to its former Austrian prisons, Kotor's past is kept alive for you to explore. Wander around the range of shops, and head to a bar or restaurant at a piazza to admire views of the mountains.
Day 6: Corfu, Greece
The island of Corfu sits off the north coast of Greece in the Ionian Sea. Surrounded by rugged mountains and lined with golden beach resorts, it's a cosmopolitan island with a strong, traditional character. Corfu has long been a hugely popular holiday destination due to its laid-back atmosphere, fun beaches, fantastic climate, and welcoming villages. Its old town is filled with Byzantine churches, Venetian fortresses and French-style houses. Spend time relaxing on the sand or enjoying water sports in the sea, before sampling the island's delicious cuisine — often a tasty blend of Greek and Italian — at a beachfront restaurant. The waterfront is lined with bars and cafes, and there are plenty of craft markets for buying souvenirs.
Day 7: Santorini, Greece
Curving around a majestic caldera, Santorini is one of the prettiest of the Greek Isles. Hop on the tender boat ashore, where the cable car will whisk you up to the cliff-top village of Thira with its quaint streets filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. Pay a visit to the cave houses at the beautiful village of Oia before heading down the steps to Amoudi Bay to feast on fresh seafood. Taste the unique beers at the Donkey Brewery close to the black pebbled sands of Kamari Beach. Explore the island's history at the Akrotiri archaeological site or admire the dramatic coastline by catamaran.
Day 8: Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos sits in the Aegean Sea with traditional white-washed houses and bright-blue waters. Wander the twisting narrow lanes, which were originally designed to confuse pirate invaders, and discover quaint shops and boutiques. Visit stylish beach bars, modern restaurants and see the iconic 16th-century Venetian windmills which overlook Mykonos town — the island's capital.
Day 9: Argostoli, Greece
Argostoli is Kefalonia's main port town and boasts a beautiful natural harbour. Stroll around the town centre and discover plentiful shops, cafes, bars and restaurants around Plateia Valianou and along Lithostroto main street. Pay a visit to the Museum of Archaeology and the Cultural Museum. Head to Kampanas Square and enjoy breath-taking views of the town and the beautiful Koutavos Lagoon. Keep your eyes peeled for the wild loggerhead turtles each morning in Argostoli Bay. Walk across the De Bosset Bridge and enjoy the stunning views. Watch the sea flow inland and disappears into sinkholes at the Katavothres. Soak up the sun on nearby Fenari beach and discover the picturesque St Theodore lighthouse.
Day 10: Dubrovnik, Croatia
The Croatian city of Dubrovnik sits on the country's southern coast on the Adriatic Sea. Explore the city centre — an UNESCO World Heritage site — with its 17th-century Cathedral of the Assumption and Rector's Palace, before walking around the ancient city walls. Admire the views as you ride the cable car to Mt Srd or visit one of the city's museums. Relax in the sunshine on Banje Beach; enjoy a boat trip to the nearby islands of Lokrum and Elafati; and view the city from the water on a kayaking trip or take a snorkelling tour.
