APT's RV AmaLotus was launched in 2011 and underwent a refurbishment in 2016. This luxury ship cruises along the Mekong River with a maximum of 124 passengers and 50 crew members on board. Make yourself at home in your elegantly-appointed and spacious suite, complete with individual climate control, flat-screen television, minibar, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, and balcony. Explore the four decks and relax on the all-weather Sun Deck, savour delicious culinary treats, enjoy a drink in the lounge, cafe, and bars, treat yourself to hair and beauty treatments in the spa, or take a dip in the heated pool. On top of this, you can join organised excursions or explore independently at an exciting mix of ports of call.

Day 1: Fly London to Vietnam
Day 2-3: Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City where you will be transferred to your hotel for a 2 night stay at Ho Chi Minh City, Park Hyatt Saigon.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City (Embarkation Day)
Be transferred to the port where you will embark on board RV AmaLotus for your 7 night cruise.
Day 5: Cai Be, Sa Dec
Cruise to the quaint town of Sa Dec. On arrival, you'll tour Huynh Thuy Le's old house and learn about Marguerite Duras' best-selling novel 'The Lover'. Afterwards, you will visit the Cao Dai temple. This afternoon, jump on a local boat and go to the town of Cai Be, where you will explore a local rice paper manufacturer.
Day 6: Tan Chau, Border Crossing
Tan Chau in Vietnam is famous for its silk making; the locals produce quality natural silk which is famous for its softness, toughness, long-wear, and high absorbency. The secluded region is a typical Asian city which remains untouched by time. Experience the local culture first-hand as you discover its country landscape and its friendly people. The quiet atmosphere created by the lovely natural environment around the village offers seclusion to the area.
Day 7-8: Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh is Cambodia's busy capital city. Discover the bustling riverfront on foot or tour the nearby food markets to experience the local cuisine. Take a tuk tuk to explore the city's colonial buildings, the Central Market, and its art deco architecture. Visit the National Museum and Royal Palace, both of which are popular attractions that showcase the history of the region. Alternatively, visit the Killing Fields and tour Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
Day 9: Oudong, Kampong Tralach
The ancient capital of Oudong, nestles on the Tonle River at the foot of Phnom Ugong mountain in central Cambodia. Visit the peaceful Vipassana Dhura Pagoda; a revered place of meditation where you can observe the lifestyle of the resident monks and nuns. Get lost in the spectacular wall paintings at Wat Kampong Leu monastery. Alternatively, sail downstream to the silversmith village of Koh Chen and discover the local culture or take in the panoramic views from your traditional ox cart.
Day 10: Kampong, Chhnang
Jump onboard a small ship and head to the lush wetlands near Kampong Chhnang. Once you get back to the ship, you'll continue on to the village of Koh Chen for a walk. Here you will visit the fine silverware and copperware workshops.
Day 11: Prek K’dam, Disembark Ship, Siem Reap
Disembark the ship and be transferred to the hotel for your 3 night stay at Siem Reap, Hotel Sofitel Angkor.
Day 12-13: Siem Reap
Siem Reap province is located in northwest Cambodia. The city is the country's major tourist hub, due its proximity to the world-famous temples of Angkor. Spend an afternoon exploring the surreal Angkor National Museum and discover the ancient history of Cambodia. Stop by the Artisans Angkor and admire the stunning handmade crafts and silk. Get lost in the sights and aromas at Senteurs d’Angkor Botanic Garden, filled with wonderful spices, soaps, tea, and local cuisine. Visit the heart of Siem Reap and admire old French shop-houses, shady tree-lined boulevards, and slow-flowing rivers.
Day 14: Siem Reap - UK
Be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
Day 15: Arrive in the UK.
