Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa
Today you'll fly from your chosen UK airport to Cape Town with all transfers included. You'll make your way to Table Bay Hotel to check in for your comfortable three-night stay. Take the evening to settle into your guest accommodation, unpack, and then head out of the hotel to find an authentic South African eatery to sample some delicacies of the region.
Days 2 to 3: Cape Town, South Africa
Spend the next two days at leisure exploring Cape Town's best bits. Ride the cable car to the top of imposing Table Mountain; the country’s most-photographed attraction and one of the new 'seven wonders of nature'. Head to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens and get lost in the beautiful world of colour and nature. Take a boat trip to visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, or come face-to-face with a great white shark on a cage dive. Take yourself to the scenic spot and tip of the Cape Peninsula - Cape of Good Hope. Perhaps visit Boulders Beach where you can encounter the resident penguin colony and explore the sheltered sandy cove. Uncover a plethora of tasty restaurants, bustling shops, and an inviting museum along V&A waterfront or admire the displays of Islamic culture at Bo-Kaap.
Days 4 to 5: Fly Cape Town, South Africa to Kasane, Botswana
Check out of your hotel today and transfer to the airport, where you'll prepare for your flight to Kasane. Upon arrival you take another transfer to the port where you'll embark Zambezi Queen to enjoy a two-night luxury river safari. Settle into your stylish stateroom and familiarise yourself with the ship's surroundings and facilities this evening. Spend your time on board spotting passing lions, elephants, giraffe, cheetah, Cape buffalo, and so many more spectacular animals on your cruise safari.
Day 6: Kasane, Botswana to Victoria Falls, Zambia
Disembark your cruise today and transfer to Victoria Falls where you'll check into the Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara for a three-night stay. In preparation for an exciting day at Victoria Falls tomorrow; take time to unwind and settle into your guest room at the hotel.
Days 7-8: Victoria Falls, Zambia
Enjoy time at the mesmerising Victoria Falls today, situated at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. A particularly special vantage point can be found across the Knife-edge Bridge, where you can take in the finest view of the Eastern Cataract and the Main Falls as well as the Boiling Pot, where the river turns and heads down the Batoka Gorge. Other mesmerising vantage points include Livingstone Island, the Falls Bridge, Devils Pool, and the Lookout Tree.
Day 9: Fly Victoria Falls, Zambia to Johannesburg, South Africa
Check out of your hotel today and transfer to the airport in preparation for your flight to Johannesburg. When you arrive you'll be transferred to Peermont Mondior Hotel for an overnight stay. If there's time; perhaps head out of the hotel grounds to uncover Johannesburg's greatest things to do and see. See the exhibits at Apartheid Museum or take a tour of Mandela House, the former residence of the nation's former president Nelson Mandela.
Day 10-12: Fly Johannesburg, South Africa to Kruger National Park
Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kruger National Park. Once you arrive there will be another transfer to take you to Lukimbi Safari Lodge for your three-night stay. Kruger National Park is one of Africa's largest game reserves, with wild animals including lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalos. Many other mammals have their home here too, as well as diverse bird species including vultures, eagles, and storks. The lush landscape here is made up of tropical forests, bush plains, and mountains - perfect for a photo backdrop.
Day 13: Fly Kruger National Park via Johannesburg, South Africa to UK
Today you'll leave the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK with many memories to treasure from your trip!
